As a beginner I can't really think of what could be missing here. This was very informative and useful, definitely recommend if you're just starting out.

Nice examples of different artists' use of pastels (soft, hard and pencil forms) fill the pages. Additionally, there are very clear photos of different pastels, paper and how they look using a variety of techniques.

Harrison gives us a comprehensive overview on oil pastels. She looks at various types of pastel color, techniques, even back color and paper. This is a handy guide.
