Sailing to the Bahamas should have been easy, but an engine fire changes all that. Suddenly Tanner and his kid sister are stuck in a lifeboat with a teenage kid who's been nothing but trouble. Tanner's exhausted, his sister is injured and the kid is acting like a jerk. Things are bad -- and then the storm hits.

Erin Thomas has been an avid reader since childhood. She admits to going through a very long Nancy Drew phase, and then having an even longer love affair with fantasy books. As a children’s author, she likes to write stories that feature action and a little bit of mystery, and sometimes a touch of the supernatural.
I was hooked immediately by the conflict of the kids in the story. While I have never actually sailed to the Bahamas on a boat, I felt like I did while reading this book! It was enjoyable, believable, and easy to read. I would have a better chance at surviving a boat wreck after reading this- I also learned that I should research information before I embark on new adventures.
