Well...

I didn't really like this installment at all. I never got a sense of who Eli or Nate were. And there were inconsistencies throughout. The biggest being that they both recognize that they're mates, yet, at one point over halfway through, Eli questions why Nate would want to stick around. It was confusing and just didn't make sense.

There are a lot of errors in this book. More than normal or acceptable. And a few times, the tense changed. Also, there were some goofs regarding clothing: a character is wearing jeans, but then is in shorts a few paragraphs later; a character isn't wearing underwear, then underwear is being pulled down in the next scene. I always comment on this author's amount of errors. I've read more recent works that are written better, so I know they're growing and improving, but better proofing and editing is needed.

Another thing I've noticed with this author is the lack of lube being used. I acknowledge that as a paranormal romance, this is already not realistic, but I'd still like for the intimate aspects to be more accurate (unless I'm reading mpreg or a style of omegaverse where slick is produced). When the intimate scenes aren't realistic, it's not enjoyable for me and takes me out of the story. In this case, it's believing that a virg!n can take a huge alpha c0ck with no prep and no lube. There's no lube used at all during any encounter.

And lastly, Chance's character in this book is vastly different from what we've seen from him in his book and others. He's like aweing over the couple and "fangirling"?.... just so odd.

The story itself isn't bad, which is why I continue reading this author's works. They just need some polishing. This one is the lowest I've rated, and I've read maybe 10 books of theirs so far, typically giving a 3-4 star rating.

Trigger warnings for death on page, past murder being discussed, homophobia, physical violence, etc. We didn’t really see Nathan’s family at all, and Eli mentioned his quite a bit because of his issues being himself, but we never saw them either. Except Leo since he was the whole reason Eli came to Marquette.

Nothing steamy after 2/3 into the book. Some typos/inconsistencies:
11%: glazing up instead of glancing up
18%: stretching me furth to - should be further to
41%: Eil instead of Eli
60%: Jake said Hi Nathan instead of Hi Eli
63%: with each stroke his warm down ran down - first down should be tongue
65%: I felt forward onto - felt should be fell
68%: I pushed his hands into his pockets - I??

I liked Sarah and was hoping we’d see more of her. This was kind of depressing compared to others. Plus I felt like we keep learning less and less about the characters. I really have no clue what they like, what makes them tick, etc. 2-2.5 out of 5 stars?

Elijah (Eli): almost 30, gay but hiding because of strict/old-fashioned pack, Leo’s cousin, omega
Nathan (Nate): Chance’s cousin, alpha blood, omega in the pack, think he’s still in college but all we see is him working at coffee shop here and there

A beautiful, well-written story, with once again very engaging characters. I loved seeing Eli come out of his shell, find a family who accepts him for who he is and a man (a wolf) to love. Nathan is adorable, understanding and totally supportive of Eli.
Bravo dear author for this beautiful, tender and sexy series.

a nice pastime

Is it the best series I ever read? No. But it’s a nice series to read, I was entertained and had a couple of laughs. I was intrigued by the storyline and I really liked the characters. I also really liked how we get to follow the earlier main characters throughout the series without any relationship drama that usually comes with that.
All the books got the vibes of suspense novels, but it’s also, mainly actually, romance. Totally worth a read.

Finding a Future

Eli came to Marquette to get a break before being tied down to a life he didn't want. Meeting Nate was not on his mind, but he felt something for the handsome alpha. Of course, just as things started to turn out well, his old life crashed into him and threatened to destroy them. This is an exciting story that you won't want to stop reading. Read the series in order to get the best experience.

A lovely read

A lovely read, with some emotional depth.
This series doesn’t make it into my top 10 all time favourites, but I don’t regret reading it.
It was a gentle read, with a bit of emotional depth that brushed on some challenging topics. The whole series has a beautiful underlying message of acceptance, support and respect.
It’s needs some editing as there are quite a few spelling errors and confusing sentences that need smoothing out. But I’ve read worse.

Eh, follows the series formula so if you like that, it's a solid read. The characters are familiar, the story is a little darker than usual - the end was unexpected but felt right.

I like these as "palette cleanser" books as I call them. They are something to read when I can't handle the heavier stories that I dig into.

Loved Eli and Nate

Loved watching Eli and Nate fall in love and work through their pasts and differences. Glad they caught the bad uncle. Always love seeing the pack and of course Sarah.

Another Great story about the Tellurian Pack.

Ready to read the next book in the series. I like that all the stories are different, but still keep the other characters from the previous books included in the story. ENJOY!

I love this series and this book…but the fact that Eli can’t put two and two together after the death threat and the rock through the window and vandalism is a really tough sell. Other than that, so good!

Another great addition to the series! I loved reading Eli & Nathan's story and the danger of Eli's past haunting him reminded me of Kael's story. A wonderful end that I'm now sad has no more books to it. Such a great series!

Splendid!

Another great book in the Tales of the Tellurian Pack. No dragging scenes or "fluff". A HEA with lots of feeling and a good plot line. Doesn;'t hurt that it's also set in one of the beautiful places in Michigan off of Lake Superior

I know you're not supposed to judge books by their covers but jfc couldn't they have at least TRIED to make the leads ear the same color as the darkened skin?

The book itself was fine, I was expecting just a little bit more with it supposedly being the "darkest" book in the series but it was still extremely tame.
