But when an attempt to save themselves ends up with the two of them lost in the middle of nowhere, and Ace is getting sicker and sicker, he'll have no choice but to accept Jack's help to find their way home again.

I picked this book up at a book expo. I met the author. She did warn me she wrote cliffhangers but I only got the first book. Turns out it is a great story. Engaging characters and relationships and plenty of action. Now I have to figure out how to get the next two books, to ebook or paperback?
