Lake is a perfect name for a quiet boy into nature and the outdoors, even if it scares him. Bradley is the middle boy of three "B" named boys who is full of wander and adventures and helping others. Both are struggling for answers as to who they are and who should they become in life as they approach the end of high school with dreams and desires.
Good grades, sports, cars, driver's licences, social media, friends, family, futures, colleges, jobs, experiences, and finding the right path for themselves with a partner to build a family and live with brings closet claustrophobia, challenges , and courage into the chaos of coming of age.
Lake and Bradley will work it out and keep it coming together.
Not the best offering by this author that I've read. I wish more backstory was given for Bradley's family origins and dynamics. Some plot developments towards the ending also stretched my credibility.
Every time I read one of Daniel's books, it brings the forgotten youth that you once had to the surface. When there was a time when all the tech was a life time away and people didn't seem to or try to keep up with the Jones'. that's why Daniel is one of my best authors to read.
What a wonderful story. It could have been my story if I had the balls at that age to have done the same. Now I am an old guy with no hope. I really enjoyed reading your book.
