At war’s end, he seeks justice but comes up against a corrupt, heretical system that has no intention of helping a lowly soldier when the peace has just been won. Falsely informed justice has been served, he spends the interwar years building up the farm when a chance encounter shocks him to the core, and he must search for the truth.
