Infamous
The smash PlayStation 3 video game explodes into comics, written by inFamous game writer William Harms (Impaler) and illustrated by Eric Nguyen (Halo: Helljumper, Strange Girl). While delivering a mysterious package, bike courier Cole MacGrath is caught in a massive explosion that gives him electric superpowers. If I had played the video game, or had any desire to, this book might have been interesting.

I for some reason thought this was just a comic version of the game, but turns out it's what happens after inFAMOUS and before inFAMOUS 2. I haven't played either game in a long time so I was glad for the few summary points they included, and it did clear up some confusion I remember having about the beginning of the second game.
The art style is kind of reminiscent of the art of the cutscenes of the first game but not exact to the characters, though close enough to know Cole, Zeke, Sasha, Kessler, and Moya, who are the important characters. For such a thin comic, it does contain 6 volumes, and it took me quite a while to get through. It's very reading heavy and a little confusing plot wise, more than I'm used to in comics these days (but very similar to the original Stan Lee Marvel comics).
I kept putting off reading this comic because I bought it and didn't want to not like it and thus have to sell it. While it wasn't as bad as I was fearing, it wasn't as awesome as I was hoping, either. A decent adaption, enough not to piss off true fans, but not enough to make them proud it exists, either.

I love the inFAMOUS franchise (with if2 as my 2nd all time favourite game) and I've been trying to find a copy of the comic series for a long time.
It's a short story that takes place between the events of inFAMOUS and inFAMOUS 2, and ties up some loose strings that the 2nd game never mentions. Moya's fate is discovered, Sasha makes a brief appearance, and it shows how difficult it was for Cole to forgive Zeke.
The timeline does jump around a lot in the issues which makes it difficult to follow what's happening.

Not bad ads nicely to the game and is apparently a bridge o the second, nice fast paced movie style story and cool art work
