This was my favorite book to read to my kids when they were babies. I thought the pictures were incredibly cute and the words were very lyrical and beautiful.

The words and art are inoffensive, and mildly interesting. It's the board book equivalent of ordering a hamburger at a decently nice restaurant. You're unlikely to be disappointed or impressed.

My favorite part of the book is the variety of textures present in the artwork though they often produce pages with no sense of direction or emphasis where just finding the baby is an unintentional challenge.

I read this book every day for half my pregnancy with my second baby and daily for the first six months of her life. I still have it memorized. "Baby stands out in the snow, shining stars sparkle and glow, baby takes a step and then, like the snow falls down again" such beautiful rhythm and beautiful pictures. Baby's first year of life captured.

A sweet little board book that follows a baby's development over the first year of life.
Particularly appropriate as a shower gift or a baby gift for a baby girl born in the winter months.

Cute little book written almost like haiku style poetry without whole sentences. What I really loved was the inclusivity and the watercolor illustrations.

I really don't know why I chose this book because it seemed very odd to choose. I do not think this would be a book to read to students, but it would be a good book to read to your child(s) if you are expecting a new born in the family. It was a good book to show how babies grow up and what they need, that is why I believe this would be a good book for expecting mothers and their child.

Beautiful illustrations. Baby's first year of life, told through the seasons. Both me and my toddler loved it so much that after I returned it to the library, we bought our own copy.
