Missing is a compelling book of short stories that explores unusual happenings in everyday life, crime stories and even a couple of ghost and paranormal stories.
I bought into this collection with confidence, having read the author’s other anthologies. Penny Luker is an accomplished short story writer, knowing how far to take a tale before stopping. She also offers enough information on the situation and characters to bring everything to life without going over the top. The quantity and variety of stories within this book are impressive and the twists are well-played out—a skill in itself with this discipline. I particularly enjoyed The Future Calls, Missing, Over Time, and Secrets. I have no hesitation in recommending this book and once read, I’m sure you’ll want to follow up and buy Penny’s other anthologies.
