My Thoughts:

I really enjoyed this volume. The race is on and are hero and heroine are in for survival. It sure isn't easy, either. From the start, I was suspicious of the Blue King. He just seemed way too over the top. It all makes sense later on in the volume. I had suspected it and I was definitely right. I wonder if Ageha knew? How does he always show up wherever Sarasa is?

Anyway, Sarasa got a bit of a glimpse into how Shuri thinks and it puts her off a bit because she just can't understand it. Still, when she thinks she's lost him, she realizes that she loves him. It makes her determined to take down the Blue King and boy does she ever! Mostly... A rebellion is sparked in the process, though.

Sarasa is able to reunite with Shuri and they are thrilled to see each other. Too bad they get separated almost right afterwards, but they do get to share some tender kisses first. And then Shuri meets someone unexpected...

This manga is so stunning! I'm totally enthralled in this story! I can't remember the last time I read a story this complicated and unique. The action is great, the plot twists are complete surprises, yet still believable within the story - its quickly become a new favorite! If you haven't read it, you really should go find it and start reading now!

Пока что в каждом томе поднимается и раскрывается какая-то определенная тема. На этот раз повесткой тома стал вопрос избранности.
Можно ли среди нескольких людей выбрать одного, чья жизнь будет более ценной? На каких основаниях можно считать себя избранным? И вообще, что значит избранность, откуда исходит такое чувство?
Некоторые сами себя считают избранными, им не нужно доказывать это всем вокруг, достаточно, чтобы ты сам это понимал. А некоторые заставляют других поверить в свою избранность, по сути ничего из себя не представляя, самоутверждаясь за счет окружения. Выстраивается иллюзия, и человек, живя во лжи, начинает верить в происходящее, несмотря на любые доводы разума. Как можно разбить такую иллюзию? Как заставить человека пробудиться?
В манге катализатором освобождения выступает Сараса. Ее принципиальность и вера в людей растапливают сердца и влекут к ней новых почитателей и последователей, но они же выходят ей боком. Пытаясь спасти всех, она рискует обречь всех на гибель, в то время как можно спасти хотя бы часть людей, пожертвовав остальными. Как лучше, умереть пытаясь, или дать выжить «избранным»? Вопросы выстраиваются в замкнутую цепочку.

P.S. А Красный-то король на фоне Синего выглядит прямо ангелом. В то время как Синий король заботится только о собственной персоне и плевать хотел на свой народ, Красный король пытается улучшить жизнь других.
P.P.S. Наконец-то нам рассказали от чего умерла прежняя японская цивилизация.

I started it on 8 March but put it aside until now, 22 March. I probably read it in one hour as the others.

Somethings are a bit confusing, but I guess I'll figure them out. It ends with a huge cliffhanger which means I'll need to read the next 21 episodes too, and therefore have to switch from Swedish edition to English ed. Japanese will still be way to hard even though I know most of the hiragana.

J'ai vraiment beaucoup aimé ce tome ! La relation entre Shuri et Sarasa a immensément évolué et on n'attend qu'une chose qu'ils apprennent qui ils sont ! On voit vraiment l'impact qu'a Sarasa sur le Japon et c'est plutôt incroyable. Hâte de lire la suite.

All the brother Kings are handsome. And just as cruel and arrogant. There is a fluctuation of feelings as Sarasa learns Shuri's nature and she doesn't like it but it doesn't stop her from falling for him. He in turn asks her to be his bride.

Wherever she goes, revolutions happen.

Sarasa dan Shuri kembali bertemu. Shuri yang menyamar jadi pendeta berusa menyusup ke kerajaan daerah kekuasaan sang raja biru, kakak yang tak pernah dia cintai. Merkea berdua berpetualang dengan menyimpan misi masing masing. Sesampainya di tanah kekuasaan raja biru Sarasa mendapati begitu banyak penderitaan yang dirasakan oeleh rakyat kecil di sana. Mayat mayat petani yang gantung diri, bayi" yang dibunuhi oragtuanya karena tak sanggup menghidupi dan melihat mereka hidup menderita dengan menanggung pajak negara yang begitu tinggi.

Saat di dalam hutan pasukan sang raja biru berhasil menangkap sasara dan Shuri yang di punggungnya ada lambang budak. Shuri dikira budak yang sedang kabur. Sudah deh berdua dimasukkan dalam kelompok untuk menguji kekuatan. Hanya satu yang bisa hidup. Mirip hunger games gitu, dimasukin ke medan dan buat tontonan ...

Sarasa dan Shuri akhirnya menjadi salah satu dari pemenang, tapi mereka dipisahkan dan Sarasa akan dijadikan persembahan 'naga' yang menjaga keamanan negri raja biru. Tapi sapa tahu semuanya cuman bohong belaka. pemberontakanpun terjadi, sang raja biru tewas, banjir menenggelamkan negri biru. Sarasa dan Shuripun harus kembali terpisah ...

Tapi di endingnya ada kejutan loh ...
Yang raja biru meninggal itu ternyata raja biru abal" yang asli ternyata si Ashagi, orang yang menyamar sebagai kepercayaan raja. Dilakukan begitu karena dulu kaka ashagi pernah ada yang bunuh jadi untuk keselamatan putranya, raja putih membuat anaknya sebagai samaran ...

KEREEEEN banget cerita Shuri dan Sarasa di sini. Wlau botak kayak biksu tetep aja cakep <3

Nah inilah jadinya kalau seseorang seperti saya mementingkan cover diatas segalanya. Saya jadi nggak jeli dengan isi dari komik yang panjangnya ada 27 volume ini.

Setelah mencicipi volume 1, bisa dibayangkan betapa besarnya penyesalan sekarang karena baru aja tau kalo komik ini SANGAT BAGUS.

Sasara yang berubah dengan kesadaran sendiri menjadi Tatara, seorang perempuan berumur 16 tahun yang menguatkan diri dengan tujuan membalaskan dendam desanya yang hancur dan kakak serta ayahnya yang mati diakibatkan serangan dari Raja Merah. Sasara hanya bisa menjadi dirinya sendiri saat ia berada di Onsen yang kemudia benar benar tertarik dengan seorang pemuda humoris tapi juga kharismatik dan seenaknya sendiri bernama Shuri. Tipikal kan? Nggak ada yang aneh dari jalan cerita ini. kecuali kalau Shuri ini adalah sang Raja Merah.

Hebatnya lagi yang membuatku sangat sangat kagum, Yumi Tamura menguatkan ikatan mereka tanpa terburu-buru dan alur yang keren, bisa dibuktikan dengan terbongkarnya identitas Shuri sang Raja Merah di buku ke-5.

Tidak perlu ragu lagi, inilah lambang dari cover not worth anything. :D

It's hard for me to think of something to say in terms of an actual review in regards to manga, so here's a couple of things that stood out to me:

I like the contrast of Sarasa wanting to save as many people from the race as possible with Shuri willing to abandon them all so the two of them can escape.

I also really love how Shuri and Sarasa are the same (as was mentioned by Nagi in the last volume), but that they just have different methods to achieve their goal, with this most apparent when Shuri left the "Blue King" to die by the hands of the people.

And I thought it was great how in the volume, Sarasa was never Tatara. She was just herself the entire time. And while yes, she did have to remind herself that she needed to be like Tatara and she couldn't just let Shuri protect her, this volume showed that "Tatara" isn't just a mantle that she picks up and puts down. She's always "Tatara" (i.e. she always carries the ideals she's trying to achieve when she's leading people as Tatara even when she's not dressed and acting like him).

The plot takes a more romantic turn in vol. 5 of Basara. It's still dealing with serious issues though.

この巻も結構好きだった。

あと話も好きだった。あと話の作者と同意しているから。何で少女漫画はいつもロマンチクだけ？！女の子も戦争の話が好きだよ。男だけじゃないよ。一番いい話は半分ロマンチクと半分シリアスとか深い。愛だけの話は。。。つまらない。

更紗が見えないけど耳が聞こえる。聞いたのことはたぶん政治に関するの暗殺。次の巻は楽しみ！
