Strange Tales

Werewolves, and vampires, and zombies, oh my I have written a number of short stories over the years. Some were pretty good, some were junk, but they all taught me different lessons. This is a collection of several of them. Some were good enough to be published in different places, the first was a finalist in a short stories competition while I was attending Western Illinois University. Some folks ask me why the only thing I write is horror and horrible stuff like that (that's a paraphrase of my mother). Stephen King wonders why people think he can write anything else. Gary Larson has said much the same. It's ingrained in us. Something in our chemistry. It isn't that we chose to write these strange things, more that it chose us. It's how we comment on the human condition around us. It's how we comment on what we've gone through recently. It's how we see things in life, both good and bad. That being said, I've included two of the straight stories that I've written. Simple love stories, or love gone wrong stories, but a couple of stories about the condition of women and men, when one of them doesn't change into a wolf. I hope you enjoy these little works of mine. I mostly enjoyed writing them. Some were written at a tough point in my life, others are just part of my learning curve. And remember, most people don't change into something that will eat you in the throes of passion.
