About the author

Hi, I'm SJ. A coffee addict, lover of chocolate and drinker of good red wines. I'm a lost soul and a hopeless romantic. Reading and writing are necessary parts of who I am. Though perhaps not as necessary as coffee! I can drink coffee without writing, but I can't write without coffee.

I grew up loving romance novels, my first boyfriends were book boyfriends, but life intervened, as it tends to do, and I wandered down the paths of non fiction for many years. My life changed completely a couple of years ago and I returned to Romance to find my escape.

I write 'Sweet N Steamy' stories because to me there is enough angst and darkness in real life. My favorite romances are happy escapes with a focus on fun, friendships and happily-ever-afters, just like the ones I write.

These days I live in beautiful Montana, the last best place. If I'm not reading or writing you'll find me just down the road in the park - Yellowstone. I have deer, eagles and the occasional bear for company, and I like it that way :0)

I really enjoyed this book and of course Kolby and Calypso/Callie. Loved the initial meeting between these two and of course there were sparks, but why wouldn’t there be, he’s a MacFarland. The story is great, and I liked being part of trying to figure out who was stalking Calypso. Of course, I loved that we got to spend time with Xander and Tori and of course one of my favorite parts was little Maya and what a huge fan she is of Calypso. These two definitely knew what they wanted and wasted no time in going after it. It was also great when Kolby and his team got together with Cash and Mav and their team to bring down the stalker, who wouldn’t want to be in the presence of all those hot men. Wonderful story and the ending was definitely fitting for Kolby and Calypso/Callie. There was a lot of information at the end of the book on so many amazing upcoming stories heading our way and I’m more than excited for Xander and Tori’s book to be next especially with what happens or doesn’t happen between them in this story. I was sad that their book might be the end of my beloved and favorite Hamilton’s, but there are so many other series to read, and I was also excited to see a possibility for more in the Love in Nashville series. Another wonderful story by this great author!

Such another wonderful book in this series. I always love to catch up with past couples. Kolby was the baby of the McFarlands and started working for his brother Cash since he got out of the service. I loved Cash’s humor as he purposely put Kolby in control of the protective service for Calypso who was a big country music star. I loved how the two looked at each other when they first met. When the stalker makes a move that surprised them all, the protective detail took Calypso out to Montana to the McFarland homestead. Calypso had no brothers or sisters, so she loved meeting all of Kolby’s family as it was large. Kolby was happy that Calypso was comfortable with his family and Montana. There were some suspenseful times with the stalker that was scary. Kolby and Calypso’s love story melted my heart. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

These Cowboys never disappoint! Another great read in the McFarland Series.
Kolby finds himself working security for a huge Country singer, Calypso Rayne due to a stalker. Callie realises she needs more security than her usual team so she hires in more and they are lead by Kolby. From almost the beginning they see their attraction to each other but Kolby always had her safety at the front of his mind and the stalker seems to always be one step ahead as he escalates his campaign to claim Callie as his wife.
Typically the McFarlands all rally round to help out and the security detail following Callie becomes more impressive, however this doesn’t stop the stalker from trying. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it however as its part of a series it would be better to read it in the sequence.

I love the MacFarlands! This hot brood of cowboys and strong cowgirls are a great bunch of character. This is book 5 in the MacFarland Ranch series and we meet former military now private security brother Kolby who is hired to protect Calypso "Callie" Rayne - country musics latest princess. From the start sparks were flying between the two. Without giving too much away, this was a quick fall head over your heels in love story and I loved it. However on a side note this book lent itself to the second tier characters of Ace, Tori and Xander. I am so glad they will all be getting their own stories soon. Hopefully there will be more MacFarland love soon too. Another fantastic read by SJ McCoy.

This is the fifth book in this incredible series, and this is Kolby and Callie’s journey. Kolby is an ex-Navy Seal, who is working as private security, and he is assigned to protect county music sensation Calypso. Callie is a target of a stalker who is relentless with chilling threats, and Kolby takes her to his family’s ranch.
This is a beautifully written story which has danger, suspense, intrigue, family, action, twists, humor, witty banter, romance, passion, adventure, and love, which leads to an entertaining and compelling page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

The Cowboy's Undeniable Love by SJ McCoy - This one kind of jumps straight into the thick of it, there is no real lead in to the love story. Kolby takes on running security for Callie who is a famous country music singer, who is being stalked by a crazy person. Kolby and Callie are instantly attracted to each other and after a short while they give in to the attraction even though Kolby is technically working for Callie. It's a whirlwind of crazy trying to find the stalker and catch him, in the meantime the declare they their forever love for each other and I hope that we get a bit more of their ever after story in the next book of the series.

It’s no surprise that I loved the latest MacFarland Ranch book. The story of Kolby and Callie brings you suspense, intrigue, romance and family.

Although I saw the love between Callie and Kolby from the beginning, I really wasn’t sure who the bad guy was until the end.

It’s always fun catching up with the other different couples from previous McCoy books and the foreshadowing of characters for books to come.

Oh my, oh my. that was amazing. Beautiful country singer Calypso Rayne, has a crazy stalker, Kolby McFarland, hired to protect her. it was love at first site, sparks fly, the room sizzles. They are perfect for each other, and everyone in his family loves her. The family she never had, now she has it all. Loved catching up with the McFarlands, this is a fabulous book, must read. Perfection, Awesome job SJ Mcoy.

WTH😳

Silliest book of all the novels. Not sure if I would classify as a insta-love or lust romance but the writing was so amateurish and nauseating that I scanned until the end for the epic showdown and that was just as uneventful. I’m really upset I spent my dollars on this unworthy piece of writing…WTH, SJ. I wasn’t thrilled with Laney and Luke’s novel but it wasn’t nearly as bad as this poorly and thinly disguised so-called book. DO BETTER…TRULY UNACCEPTABLE!

What a story! Read it in one sitting, truly enjoyed the romance and intrigue. Lots of familiar faces show up in this one and it was nice to catch up with all of them. Callie fits right in with Kolby and his family and you could feel the love they have for one another. Looking forward to the next in the series.

I always love going back to the ranch and seeing people we haven’t seen in awhile. It’s always great to catch up. Callie is a singer and had to put her career on hold. Kolby is hired to protect Callie from a stalker. But what happens when he starts to fall for her? Can he put his feelings aside to protect her?

I love returning to Montana in these cowboy love stories. Love at first sight for Kolby and Callie when he is hired to protect her from a stalker. He takes her home to go family ranch to keep her safe and she falls in love with him, his family and friends. Awesome read. I can’t wait for SJ’s next book.

Another thrilling story that draws you into the lives of the MacFarland men.
This is a complicated story with a stalker who wants Callie to be his wife. But she and her bodyguard have their sights set on each other!

This book has everything I look for in a romance- a strong female lead with a big heart falls in love with a protector- someone who would do anything to keep her safe. And lots of action to keep me on the edge of my seat! Highly recommend!

I enjoyed this book and I love the MacFarland's an Remington's very much. Kolby & Callie's story brought all the characters together. The book is filled with love, family, friends and support. Absolutely wonderful. I look forward to more books :)

Another great story from Montana. Even a cameo by my book love Chance and Mason McFarland. Kolby and Callie were just perfect together.
