When Katherine prepares the mansion for the sale of its antiques, a new spirit contacts her from outside the house’s dark and dusty halls.
This ghost is darker. More vicious. And it seems to find her everywhere.
As Katherine seeks to understand what the spirit needs, she finds an ancient and mysterious occult symbol, only the first clue in a much larger mystery.
But that’s not all that possesses Blackstone mansion. She soon discovers a series of hidden tombs that contain the remains of the last generation to inhabit it.
If she doesn’t unravel the truth soon, she may find there’s a tomb waiting for her.
Dude....this book is amazing!! I have no clue what is Happening to her...how or who or what?? But I swear I am on the edge of my seat and can't wait to start the last book!!
The ending was good but also the only real exciting part of the whole book. The whole thing felt about 200 pages of pointless filler longer than necessary. Too many details that mean nothing sprinkled with a few good moments. The main character is annoyingly immature for her age and a combination of boring and unlikable. A shorter story focused solely on the mystery would have been so much better as that part is by far the most interesting.
This second book provides more info about the Blackstone family. As Katherine continues to work hard in getting the antiques ready for sale, she becomes embroiled in more family mystery. More ghosts contact her with something they need her to find out. I felt the draftiness of the stairwells and the fear Katherine felt when she viewed the ghost. She tries to do the things her boss wants done but he seems to ignore her reluctance and continues to pile on more work. Her frustration only made things harder for her to concentrate on her task. When she is confronted with what the family needs to show her, the secret is unbelievable. The third book must give more information about Marcus’ dirty deeds.
Book 2 was not as good as our first installment. I still feel we're being left out of the loop on character knowledge, we know a tiny bit of Kat's past, but ZERO about any other characters. There seemed several useless points in this novel same as the first, mostly characters, again. Her Ex, Luke- pointless. Her boss, Jordan- bordering on pointless for all he 'adds' to the story. Frankly, her entire career as the Antiques dealer is bordering on pointless.
I am going to look into book 3, just to see if the story wraps up, but I won't be surprised if I mostly skim it.
absolutely invested in kat and kirks story. im interested in seeing where it goes and how the antique selling is going to go but as for possession this book didnt have none. it had her seeing visions but I wouldn't call that possession. overall good book. wish it was scarier but good story over 2 books so far.
A decent second book in the Blackstone Mansion trilogy. I find a lot of it really interesting. Not a big fan of the main character, but I am curious about the mansion and it's past and I do have to read on to find out the whole story.
