Not a book for the faint of heart!
This book is advertised as a true story. Since publication, Bob King has been shown to have 'fudged' his records and background a bit. Regardless, it is a fast-paced tale of what happens when intel agents become politicians, and they hang the guys who got them there out to dry.
Bob King and his team are one of several (or many depending on who you listen to) that were hung out to dry. The second half of the book is what the surviving members of the team have to do stay breathing.
This is where King should have claimed his book was based on a true story. There's enough rumor and half-truth about the government's actions after Vietnam that no one would have questioned it.
Recommended for fans of military fiction and old-school men's adventure stories.

A who do you trust black ops story

I've read many books about possible CIA involvement in shady ops. Reagan had Contra, Clinton had Mena and the Bush's had Afghanistan with it's acres and acres of heroin poppies. scs

This is an important book for all Americans! If you have a husband, son, or daughter in the military or in the intelligence community, you will find this older well written book especially interesting. It remains timely as it shows instances where our government has knowingly overstepped its constitutional authority.
After reading this non-fiction account by Bob King, it seems obvious that Edward Snowden is a patriot and not a traitor. When good men and women do not have the courage to speak out, the hubris of government power goes unchecked and spreads like a cancer.
Read this book!

A horrible piece of BS I read many years ago. The writer was a fraud and the book was fiction. Glad it's out of print.
