Cheryl Wilfong's That Rascal Mind is a series of glimpses of life encountering life while the rascal mind does its "mindy" thing. Cheryl shares her experiences and reflections, allowing the reader to befriend an inquisitive, compassionate, wise individual. Similar to her blog, which I have followed, many of the experiences are often related to gardening or nature but just life itself. So, the book is ideal to grab when one wants to vicariously experience a piece of a life lived intentionally and consciously. Typically the reflection on the experience also reflects Buddhist/Dharma wisdom in a down-to-earth and understandable way. Never preachy or condescending. Can be read through in sequence or randomly. An encouraging, enlightening, generous generous book that was a bit of joy to read.
I absolutely LOVED this book! I stayed at Cheryl's Airbnb back in September and I flipped through a copy of her book that was in the Airbnb. I ended up ordering a copy later and really enjoyed her writing. She is so insightful, creative, optimistic, and adventurous. I truly enjoyed this read and would recommend it to anyone!
