Psychosynthesis therapist and counseling astrologer Mark Jones delivers one of the most fascinating astrological studies of this decade. Taking us on a journey into the karmic underpinnings of the birth chart, this book provides tools for understanding the hidden forces driving not only our personality, but our soul. Jones outlines a method that anyone can use to learn more about the unconscious dynamics that drive us. The beginner will find this a useful reference text and the expert will enjoy the detailed chart explanations. For the professional astrologer, this book provides the tools necessary for incorporating this method into any current framework. Based on ten years of in-depth client study, Healing the Soul offers profound insight into the powerful soul dynamics that shape our experience. Its triumph is that it teaches us how to identify and transform powerful internal conflicts and feelings while acknowledging our regenerative capacity for spiritual healing and soul evolution.
An insightful and profound exposition of the evolutionary impact Pluto, Uranus and the Moon's Nodes on the soul.
On a personal level, Mark's theories on Pluto in Virgo provided me with numerous breakthrough moments that have raised my consciousness about hidden motivations that have eluded me for years. This book is well named - soul wounds I've been working on for years suddenly made sense and I was left feeling a deep sense of acceptance and understanding.
This book touched me so deeply, I've ordered a hard copy as well as there are many sections I need to re-read and re-absorb.
If you've read jeff greene's pluto and uranus books, you'll know most of the content in here. in saying that, i had a couple of synchronicities with the book which lead to me reading a few pages out to someone and recommending it to someone else not quite ready for the greene stuff. there were plenty of succinct elucidations and good examples in case histories of how to apply the content in the context of the birth chart and its owner. all in all i enjoyed it. but in a scenario where i had to choose desert island books i'd opt for jeff instead.
Great, thorough introduction to Mark Jones' style of evolutionary astrology. It can be a little wordy, but there's tons of information, anecdotes, and further references.
