Have you ever wondered what Jesus would say to teens if he could email or text them every day?
God never intended for us to journey through life alone or without direction, and Conversations with Jesus: 365 Daily Devotions for Teens is the perfect tool for every teen who desires to know more about Jesus and what the Bible says about any life situation. Through a collection of encouraging, quick-listen messages written in Jesus' first-person voice, Conversations with Jesus helps teens turn religion into a real relationship with Christ.
Each day, students ages 12-18 are guided toward a closer walk with their Savior through a full year of carefully selected Scripture passages and relevant applications that are trustworthy, practical, and action-oriented. With Conversations with Jesus, teens will:
Develop a closer, more personal relationship with Jesus Be encouraged through tough times Discover how to handle difficult people Develop a clearer sense of God's will for their lives Learn how surrender leads to joy regardless of one's circumstances Understand how the Bible applies to daily life Become equipped to encourage others Become more comfortable with prayer as a response to Jesus Conversations with Jesus: Daily Devotions for Teens takes the guesswork out of discipleship with a collection of encouraging messages written in Jesus' first-person voice and designed to capture the fleeting attention of today's youth.
These short devotions will help preteens and teens develop the daily habit of reflecting upon the word of God and conversing with Jesus and recognize the relevancy of Scripture in everyday life.
Jesus is waiting to talk with you today, and he's already prepared a message just for you. Are you willing to open it?
I bought this for my teens and since I still try to read everything that they read (failing miserably as there are 3 of them and 1 of me and they read like I do), I read this. It is a great way for them to "hear" Jesus talking to them and is geared towards teens rather than parents. I would even say that there are some areas where it would be good for college bound and young adults.
Very repetitive and although the search engine states this is the best devotional for teens, mine would disagree. They thought it was childish and repeated the same things over and over. Skip this one.
I'm very happy to have read this book in 2013. Every day, it's like receiving a special message from God (written actually from His point of view, to you). Included is a memory verse to think about and a prayer to send back to Him.
A good devotional to keep teens connected with the One who matters most. Would definitely recommend to my Christian friends.
