Okay, I may be a little biased because I am a Team Logan fan forever, but this book of short stories and poetry is beautiful. It's beautiful language and heartfelt messages really puts life into perspective.

My feelings went into over load with, "...And the craziest idea is we are separated, By distance, by thoughts, by beliefs, by skin, All we need is to tap into the never ending surge of energies, Where atoms and planets and the entire universe, Weave together and connect like inseparable threads."

Brothers on Life was an excellent read. It was so heartwarming and poignant. This is not the type of book that I normally read, but decided to give it a try as I am a fan of Matt Czuchry and his work. This collection of stories truly made me want to meet him in person. He and his brother touched my heart by their words and also gave me the motivation to make some changes in my life. I know that seems like a tall order for a book, but it was so truthful and dare I say, real! Here are a couple of my favorite parts:

CELEBRATE
"Because of you
I danced in the dark
I laughed deeper
I loved like no other
For we are greatest in the moments that take our breath away
And any breath in between is just living"

BULLDOZERS
"Inevitably we grow
Does that mean the magic has to slip through our fingers
To be chased away and lost forever"

UNRAVELING MYSTERIES
"The mind is capable of anything

Creating miracles
Unraveling mysteries
Outliving diagnoses
Making dreams come true

Yet most days
We are scared of the mind's possibilities
And remain bound to the expected

I have now read this book several times and love to read a few pages before bed each night.

Wanted to read this since I love Matt Czuchry lol. How cool that he wrote a book with his brother!

I liked the underlying ideas/topics here but it wasn’t something worthy of a book ultimately. I believe a lot of these were just random writings they had over the years and they compiled them for this? I think this could’ve been a lot better if there was some poetic effort. This had all the potential to be a good poetry book with the topics and structure of it, but without editing it to be more poetic it does feel a little like something incomplete. It’s an easy read though and it can be thought provoking! I didn’t love it but I guess I liked it (though maybe I’m still a little biased, idk lol).

I love that they included some childhood pictures in the book too!

I am by no means a poetry expert. My review is not based on the writing quality or expertise, it is based only on my personal enjoyment of the material.

This poetry collection touches on subjects from every area of life - love, family, career, identity, growth, personal thoughts and reflections, etc. I enjoyed the broad spectrum of subjects and inspiration. I think there are poems in this collection that anyone can relate to.

My favorites were:
A Thousand Dreams, which Matt Czuchry wrote when he found out that Gilmore Girls had been cancelled and he was cast in a movie he really wanted on the same day.

Two Sides of the Same Coin

Pinwheels

I'm not really a poem kind of girl, however this one was so beautiful, not difficult, relatable and unique.
My favorite is:

"EXPERIENCES

Only in having the courage
To taste
To feel
To try
Can you know
What it truly means to live"

This is what happens when actors think they should write. There’s a reason people study that shit and it’s so they don’t publish entire poetry collections without any punctuation using catastrophic auto-capitalization. The content’s cute and all but an editor would have been really useful.

I found this a very enjoyable read as it provided much food for thought as to how events in one's life can be captured, no matter how big or small. Kudos to Matt and Mike.

One sentence review:  A beautiful collection of poetry and personal musings on life.

Summary: Two brothers share on their life journeys through a collection of poems and thoughtful reflections.

Review: I wasn't sure what to expect from this little book. However, I ended up devouring the poems - they are beautiful, hopeful, heartbreaking, and immensely relatable. I know I drove my brother and my husband a bit crazy with excerpts and quotes from this charming collection.

I struggle with some poetry collections, but this one is so honest that it resonates with you no matter your walk of life.

I highly recommend to any readers. Especially if you are looking for a heartfelt collection of poems that will revive your soul. (Or at least make you smile.)

An artistic value on words.

I loved the portrayal of life written here. This creation shows beauty, heart, and soul, like from the book. I never expected the book to be presented this way, however, I am so glad that it did. I hope more people are intrigued by the presentation of words, as I was upon reading this book.

Brilliant book, I received this book on the anniversary of my brother in laws death, it made me think about relationships I share and the relationship that my husband had with his brother, particularly like The Jester and Fulfilled. I would recommend reading this, this is one of the few books I will keep on my bookshelf to dip in and out of in the future

This book was so loving touching it's not at all what I expected. My emotions were all over the place. The amount of infection shown towards family is very important and it came through in the writing. All I can say is well done gentlemen.
