Erich Ohser, bekannt unter dem Pseudonym e.o.plauen, wurde am 18. März 1903 bei Plauen in Sachsen geboren und starb am 6. April 1944 in Berlin. Er war ein deutscher Zeichner, der besonders durch seine Comicstrips um Vater und Sohn Bekanntheit erlangte. Der wunderbare Humor der Geschichten von »Vater und Sohn« ist nahezu zeit- und kulturunabhängig, manchmal rührend, manchmal auch bissig; ganz zutiefst menschlich.

Beautiful childhood moments

I read this book about 100 time when I was a little kid in Iran , Loved the pictures and humor , Today it’s still melting my heart. Thank you Erich Ohzer for your books being part of my beautiful childhood memories

These books were a big part of my childhood. The Persian version contains stories explaining the comics, and the ending is quite depressing; especially when you consider the tragic fate of Ohser. He was quite a hero in my opinion, producing these delightful cartoons in the gloomy prisons of the Nazis, all for his son.

omg, it was one of the sweetest books I read as a child. I remember when I read the last part. it was so depressing for me when I was young, lol.
I didn't know it's nostalgic for so many iranian men and women. it's so sweet to see that there are many other people who have memories with this book :))

This is a comic book without text. We used it a lot in elementary school. We looked at one comic strip together, discussed it and our homework was to write a short story that went along with the pictures we had talked about. Fun times!
