Safety and Spoilers

This was just ok for me. The author didn’t seem to know how she wanted Massimo to be. First it’s mentioned that he could have any woman he wanted but doesn’t because he’s not like that. Later, it’s mentioned that he has been celibate for a while but in his younger days had his fair share of women. This book could have done with some good editing.

H is or isn’t a playboy. h is of course a virgin. H has been celibate for a while.
I wish the two characters spent more time getting to know one another. They never talk. How do you fall in love with someone you never talk to. It was all lust.

No abuse even though H kidnapped h and wouldn’t let her go. She didn’t like being held prisoner but her body constantly betrayed her whenever
H was around her.
No cheating.

This would've been a 3 star had it not been for Massimo shooting someone out of jealousy. I get it he was possessive of Grace, but he could've handled that without so much aggression and blood involved. Maybe because he's a mafia prince that's why his initial reaction was using violence but still.

I liked Grace she was feisty and sassy. Even though she was also attracted to Massimo, she didn't let her hormones decide for her. After he kidnapped her, she tried different ways to escape but sadly to no avail. She stood up for herself, held a bit longer, and gave him a hard time. I'm so proud of her for not being a doormat.

Overall, this was nice. It has a plot and twists despite the fact that this is a novella, didn't expect that actually. I had fun reading this mainly because of Grace.

Actually, I was more bored than anything.
Massimo (son of mafia dude) sees Grace (virgin) and decides she's his. He stalks her for a bit before he kidnaps her. There's a long waiting period before they actually have sex. Honestly, I got bored waiting for it.
I just wasn't impressed with anything. I know I had more to say about it yesterday, but I've slept since then and don't care enough about the story to write a lengthier review.

If you like the old fashioned Harlequin books inherited from your mother, you will like this. I feel that this little insta-love reads should be sweet, easy and without overly exorbitant drama, so far this writer's style meets my reading requirements without getting me all frazzled and pissed of with some jackalope imaginary H and doormat h.
I give this a 7 star or a 10 on my own personal grading scale.

tbh i found out about this authors books on a twitter thread and i’ve just been reading through her collection. the concept of these books aren’t bad honestly and i actually like that it always has a happy end.. but the execution isn’t great. wasn’t a fan of this particular book, but for what it is, it did entertain me.

It was so touching how Massimo's father felt because each were willing to give there lives for each other just like his mother did for his father Massimo was instalove but Grace took a little bit to fall. Sweet HEA.

This book felt like a re-read to me. I enjoy the trope of a virgin and mafia setting. However, this book gets a 3-star review because it wasn't bad, yet it wasn't great. It satisfied a reading fix, and I'm okay with that.
