Peonies by Allan Rogers (Timber Press 2009)(635.933111). Complete and detailed information about the herbaceous peony and the tree peony family and the thousand or so named cultivars with specific recommendations. This book will serve as the reference for peonies in this gardener's library. My rating: 7/10, finished 2010.

Informative and thorough. It covers the major players in breeding and hybridization of peonies from the beginning of the 20th century to the present.
