Make Me Feel Again is the second book in the Lost & Found Duet. In order to understand the contents of this book, you must read Always. Forever. first. Hurt. Grief. Lies. Betrayal.
Learning that I could love someone forever but not have them in my life wasn't easy. What's even harder is learning how to let them go. The monster entered my life and locked me away in the darkness, drowning me in pain and lies. But how could it be that the one person I least expected was there to switch the lights back on, removing me from the darkness?Cash Stiles saved me.He held me up when I couldn't stand. He took the pain away with one touch. How could I accept that Jace's Dad was the one to make me feel again? Life was worth living. Until it wasn't.The monster was back to lock me away in the darkness again. And he was back to take Cash from me, too.
♾️♾️♾️/5 Get your tissues in bulk! PS is back with the second part of her Lost & Found duet. If you havent read the first then I beg you to. ‘Always. Forever’ will always be the book that ripped out my heart, stamped on it, set it on fire, ran over it with a truck.. you get the jist. It shattered me completely.
Well, PS decided I hadnt hurt enough. Theres a line in this that sums this up perfectly: “a scab that keeps reopening.” The opening sentence of the prologue set me off. Hello ugly crying. I had to wait 10minutes and start again.
This isnt going to make much sense without reading the first & keeping it spoiler free but theres one certain character I would like to unalive. And make him suffer. Slowly. That being said, somehow PS made my heart hurt for even him. That was how good her writing was at dragging out my emotions.
Plot wise, this was stunning. I love a good Daddy kink, but PS didnt make it all about that. This was a beautiful story showing the grief these main characters went through whilst trying to heal and also trying to understand the new emotions they were feeling. This had me all over the place feeling the highs and lows. Jace still played a huge part in everything that happens in this, and for that I think PS did an amazing job. I love him so much. At the same time, Daddy Freaking Cash 🥵 this guy took my ‘Eyes on me’ obsession to a whoooooole new level. I appreciated this a lot! 🫠 Cash was possessive protective perfection and when he went all caveman. Weak!!
Last thing im gonna mention. The plot twist f’ed me up and had me launching my kindle across my lounge. I did not see it coming AT ALL!!
I would love to see this duet get more of the love it deserves. These characters will stay with me forever. I highly recommend grabbing this, available on KU too. I promise you wont regret it.
I went into part 2 of this duet knowing that part 1 kind of destroyed me. It had me ugly crying in bed and was my absolute biggest tearjerker read of 2023. So, to say I was a little hesitant entering into this one is an understatement. I wasn't sure if I was mentally prepared, especially considering how part 1 ended... (No spoilers here so sorry I'll have to be vague 😆)
In 2 words: STEAMY & EMOTIONAL
So, I wasn't bawling my eyes out this time, but PS. Black still tugged those heartstrings and had me worrying Rylee was about to be the most unlucky girl on the planet! But that steam... whoaa 🔥 🥵 You've been warned!!
Aside from that, I really enjoyed all the tension caused by the whole James situation (finding out why Jace fell out with him, and SO MUCH MORE!), and Cash's protectiveness was surprisingly hot 😅
So hard to review this without spoilers, so I'm gonna stop there. Great book, if you like spice and tears, and kind of "inappropriate" relationships, you definitely need to give this book duet a go! (The author makes you see the relationship as fine anyway, she writes it so well 💕)
Plus: happy ending (yes, really... once you get through all the heartache!!!)
This book picks right back up from where book one left us, heart broken. Since this is the second book in the lost & found duet I will not give you any spoilers. The first part of the book could be a little longer in my opinion, I’m a sucker for good tension so I would have liked it if there was more build up. You know what else I’m a sucker for? Daddy’s.
This book is a wet dream for people who have a daddy kink. Daddy F’ING Cash 🥵 he definitely made me feel something. Just like book one this has a strong plot with different twists.
P.S Black has the ability to mend your broken heart and somehow make it even bigger than it was before it broke.. Poppy, I’m your fan.
This book made me equally cry the same amount as Always. Forever. Okay maybe a little less! I was so attached to these characters!!! I can’t say much because it could spoil the first and 2nd book! It’s best to go in blind in my opinion!!! Cash is such a daddy and Jace is such a sweet baby angel! The way she connected all the questions was perfection!! And the ending was everything I needed!
What an amazing book! I'm in awe. This book is perfect. Cash and Rylee's story was full of hurt, pain, grief and guilt. There were tough parts to read but also some beautiful moments. But they got there in the end, you could see how they saved eachother. They were meant to be. I felt every single emotion and let me tell you I sobbed. Daddy Cash is just perfect, the love, care and protectiveness he showed Rylee was amazing, and what she gave to him was beautiful. They definitely needed eachother. Well done PS, duet is everything and more 🖤.
As much as I enjoyed the conclusion to the duet book two was more melodramatic and in some aspects I felt the writing a bit naive as we went around the same circles a few times.
A better proofreading is needed as there were a few grammatical errors but not enough to deter from the story. I'm sure this new author will grow and tighten up her writing as she writes more and PS Black is an author I'll read again.
Great effect on your debut and 3.5 forever stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
I personally never heard of this author until I ran across the book on kindle unlimited. And to say they have me wanting to read every single book they have ever written and I definitely will is an understatement.
But anyways back on topic this book was amazing. So the whole concept of it is that you have Riley dating Jace when he unexpectedly passes away. Devastated she turns to his family and ends up close to Jace's dad Cash. I know what you're thinking she goes after her dead boyfriend's dad. You really need to read the book because I didn't really get any sort of trigger or content warnings from it that I need people to be aware of you just need to read it to realize there is nothing wrong with the situation. Both of Rylee and cash don't jump into this relationship for the heck of it. And you'll see that play out at the end of the last book and throughout this book. Something else you'll see playout cause this boat picks up rate rate rate the last on left off as you see what happened when James kidnapped Rylee.
Normally the side charactes you tend to forget about but not with Bridget, Bohdi, and Toni. I'm so glad we get more books set in this world.
I will say that these books do put you through the ringer with your emotions because it is going all over the place with your emotions but it is worth it.
After the emotional story that was book 1 of this duet ending on a cliffhanger, really Poppy 😳 I had to start Make Me Feel Again immediately, and I am so glad that I did.
There was definitely more spice in this book compared to the first. I also enjoyed the many twists and turns and new revelations that kept me in suspense.
Watching Rylee and Cash battle their own grief and confusion, independently and together, was dang realistic and beautiful. They were asking the tough questions of is it too soon or what people would think. Toni's answer is, who gives a F!ck what people think (I love Toni she is a fierce badass and bestfriend) I think it is explained beautifully when Rylee and Bridge are talking about how Cash and Rylee being together helped each other start living again.
I think when your world is falling apart, and you are suffering loss, some days it feels like you'll never be ok and getting out of bed is really giving your best.
My heart was breaking for Bohdi, and I really felt like he was struggling so much in this part of the story, and I can't wait to read his book!
All this to say that this duet really left me feeling all the feelings.
Make Me Feel Again by @authorps.black Book 2 of the Lost & Found duet
Make Me Feel Again picks up right where Always. Forever. left off, and the suspense of that cliffhanger is woven throughout the entire book. While Rylee and Cash are working through their grief and guilt and heartbreak, there’s still a feeling of looming threat.
This book is a story of finding love after devastating loss, and illustrates so well how non-linear grief is. I think I experienced every emotion possible while reading; so many tears were shed. And that epilogue… 🥹
Cannot wait for future books in this universe. Toni… Bodhi… 🫠
As always, check trigger warnings before reading 🖤
After that cliffhanger from Always. Forever. I was ready for this book. This was another emotional ride but proved that going through grief is never easy.
The connection and growth that Rylee and Cash make in this book made you feel a part of it all. You can’t help but feel what Cash and Rylee is true even with all their hurt and grief. They both show they are the light for each other to keep on living. There are some crazy and intense parts but it also has parts that you fall in love with that make up for the intense ones.
This story was emotional but I’m very pleased with how this duet was written. I loved all the characters and their growth in life after Jace, except for James, he is just creepy. This is a must-read duet for anyone looking for an emotional read that will break your heart but has a promise to put it back together.
This duet has absolutely floored me. Book 1 left me sobbing and utterly reeling after that cliffhanger and this book picks up right were book 1 left us with out Jaws on the floor and let me tell you the shocks jeep on coming.
I loved this book. I felt like the portrayal of grief was perfect and these characters are really put through the ringer.
Rylee and Cash are actually perfect together, and I'm so glad that they could come together and heal and find something beautiful in the tragedy. Also I've got to say I do love Daddy Cash's dominant side!
This book was full of twists and turns and had me utterly hooked from the very beginning.
This duet is raw and so unbelievably heartbreaking but I loved every second of it even if I did spend most of the book in floods of tears.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable love story — Cash and Rylee completely stole my heart!
This book was everything I love in a romance — emotional, forbidden, and utterly captivating. The age gap between Cash and Rylee added such depth and tension to their story, and the author handled it beautifully. Every moment between them felt raw, real, and full of longing. I was completely invested from start to finish!
Cash and Rylee’s connection is one of those rare love stories that stays with you long after you’ve finished reading. It’s passionate, emotional, and so beautifully written. I laughed, I cried, and I didn’t want it to end.
If you love a forbidden romance that tugs at your heart and makes you believe in love against all odds — this is the one for you. Truly a five-star masterpiece! 💕
The last part of PS. Blacks duet is here and what a read. If you haven't read the first one, 'Always, Forever'.... WHY?!!! I could read both books over and over and never get tired of Daddy Cash and Rylee. 😍 Both books had me in tears, and I literally devoured this book just as quick as the first. PS Black sends you on another emotional rollercoaster, throwing in some Daddy Kink for a good measure and the ending is just perfection 👌.
I can not wait to see what PS Black has up her sleeves for us readers next because I. AM. OBSESSED. If you haven't read these 2 yet, what are you waiting for?! RUN! 💙
It took me on a journey of love, loss, and discovery. It made me happy, made me mad, and genuinely had me confused.
It's hard to surprise me in a book because I always try to figure out where the book is headed, but I never saw the hits coming.
Some reads just alter your perception of what a genre, a trope, a romance could and should be, and this most certainly did that.
It's hard not to say too much because I don't want to spoil anything but I can say this: if you want it all...the angst, the spice, the intimacy, the magic, the heartache, the unexpected, the surprise and the HEA, you will find it in the Lost and Found Duet.
This book put my heart back together, then broke it again but it does end in a HEA. The twists and turns and connections in this last part of the duet I didn't see coming until the last minute. While Rylee embarks on a forbidden romance with her dead boyfriends dad, hidden from their closest family and friends, a terrifying blast from the past with a revenge plan to follow through on, she has no idea the danger she's in.
I loved that this book was from both Rylee, Cash & James, whereas book 1 had been Rylee mainly. SMASHED it and I really hope to read more from this world in the future.
This is a emotional story of Cash and Rylee. Jace Stiles is passed away, but you have to read why? Who? Reason? James , Jace friend and more. Then, Bohdi with Bridge Stiles, the uncle and auntie, of Jace, also sister and brother of Cash Stiles. Rylee and Cash didn't want to be attracted to one another but it happened. This is a emotional story. With family, friends and two characters main part. The ending I enjoyed. I recommend this book that a duet.
PS Black thank you for such a beautiful ending to Jace, Daddy cash and Rylee. You had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning, by the end you had me in literal tears. This story from book one to now was so good, I couldn’t wait for Make me Feel Again to be released. If you love Daddy tropes please give this one a chance you won’t regret it. It has a bit of suspense, emotion, trauma, grief, healing, spice and just a really great story!
Good story “When you crash and burn, Cash. I want you to take me with you. When your world stops spinning, I want mine to stop with it. When you break, let me break with you and when it’s time to build up those walls again, I want to be by your side building them up with you. I want to be with you at your lowest moments, not just your highest. When you hurt, I hurt. When you smile, I smile. We do this together.
This duet had an absolute chokehold on me! Make Me Feel Again was everything I needed after Always. Forever.—it’s the ending the story deserved. This is how you write a duet. My heart was aching, torn apart, and then pieced back together in the most beautiful, gut-wrenching way.
Honestly, I can’t even put into words how much this book moved me—just read it! It’s an emotional rollercoaster that you don’t want to miss.
Well that was a wild ride of a duet. WILD I SAY. Boyfriend of 6 years, soulmate, love of your life….dies tragically in a car accident. Only you find out he was drugged by the guy obsessed with you. Also you fall in love with his dad who has been obsessed with you for a while. Now I will say this all takes place over the course of a year after the son’s death. No feelings were felt while the son was alive. They do heal each other in an unthinkable time. Tragedy brought them together. They get married and have kids and the ending was very sweet. I enjoyed it overall.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Book 2 is better than Book 1, but still too many grammar errors. Strong proofreading and editing needed.
I can understand where the author was trying to go, I just don't think she pulled it off. Too many characters and lesser storylines fell off. Not enough character development to justify the main story.
How not to fall in love with Cash? He's the ultimate Daddy. Though I don't like his grumpiness, he is bettering himself as a man because of love. I kind of disliked Rylee in this book. She was so careless and childish in really important siituations that I struggled to empathize with her. But in a general view, this story couldn't have a more perfect ending.
The conclusion to Ry story. I really enjoyed having both Cash and hers prospective. I really didn’t expect the backstory to be what it was for James. Loved how their happy ending unfolded. Felt like the book could have used another review before being published.
Think this one is a 4 1/2 star not quiet 5 star as didn't get as much emotion in this one, but the plot twist was really good and I didn't see it coming. Also loved the duel pov this was definitely what was missing from the first book.
Ugh, & here i thought this was going to be a real kind of tabboo read, not some grief-stricken morose type of read. This wasn't even a taboo kind of read in the least. She hadnt even married Jace to begin with. Such a bummer.
This book was just as good, if not better, than the first one! And it had the answers we needed from book one! I'm so happy as a reader and this is definitely a favorite read of this year!
Ok, I did love this book but couldn’t get past the one thing the book is based and I had to take a star off cos it made me feel icky I can’t lie. Other than that it’s still a fabulously written story and I loved it in its isolation
