I died.

They thought they could break me. I remain Unbroken.

Lives hang in the balance. I was told it’s up to me to set things right. And when God himself tells me to save the world, then I guess I need to pull my big girl pants up and get the job done. If I fail, we all lose, not just the battle, but our lives.

I’m a part of a game I didn’t ask to play. The board is set, and war is about to erupt. Everyone is looking at me to lead them. The pressure is mounting. The uncertainty escalates not only from my unexpected news about my Tethers, but to the future of the Academy itself. I am not alone, and no matter what I face, I know that my mates and Tethers will be beside me.

I am a Nephilim, a Witch, and a Warrior. It’s time I harness all of my abilities to become the ultimate weapon. I never asked or wanted to be a savior, but for the people I love, I’m ready to sacrifice everything, even myself.

Unbroken is an 18+ Dark Paranormal Why Choose Romance. The third and final book in the HellNight Academy series. Contains: Graphic Violence, Torture, Blood, and definitely more Gore.

The Ending Sucks

*****Spoilers*****

The end ends. Like the last one, this one is told from many perspectives. I'm not sure if it's just a me thing but I really felt disconnected from this last book in a way I didn't for the earlier ones. I couldn't even feel anything at the end when a couple of important characters die. Unfortunately Micah's mom doesn't make it in the end of this book. There's no definite cause but seeing as how she was being tortured by Michael who gifted her severed hand to Micah, I'm not really surprised. I do think it leaves mom's true motivation and goals when it comes to Micah up in the air. Was she trying to protect Micah by keeping Micah away from Caelum or wasn't she? With everything said and done, mom wasn't aware that Micah was part demon so not really sure what she'd be trying to protect Micah from. I mostly wanted Bishop to get a piece of happiness with her since he truly did have feelings for her in the past, if she would've had him that is, but we'll never know.

Lyrik also died and though my feelings were disconnected and I wasn't devastated, I thought it was too bad that it was him who didn't make it. With so many possibilities, I think it would've been easy to keep him alive had he shared the vision Esme gave him. That way, he could've planned with the other men a way for them all to be safe and make it in the end and also save Micah. No surprise pregnancies or reincarnation or revival for Lyrik, he's just gone. I liked him ahead of some of the others so it sucks.

Rodyn and Micah eventually heal the rift between them and complete their Tether. It was a while coming but worthwhile in terms of Rodyn making amends. Consistently facing life and death also gave them both perspective so there's that. I was still a meh when it came to Rodyn but it ended well for him so that's a positive.

Esme had her own stuff going on within this book and I felt like she was more on the periphery too much to really care about what she was going through. She chose Sam over Micah because wolves don't share and he didn't want Esme unless he got all of her, but it felt like Esme was backed into a corner and seemed to regret that choice at times. Sam I couldn't like because of his earlier non action when Esme was being hunted, sorry just can't respect that he ran and didn't stand up to defend his mate. In any case, we learn that Esme is part fae and fae royalty, she gains status as high priestess of the blue mountain crew before voluntarily giving it up for her growing baby, only to be tossed off blue mountain by their goddess and suffering injuries so bad that she loses the baby anyway. She's taken to the fae realm to heal because apparently they can help where the nurses couldn't. But why couldn't Micah at least try? I didn't get that at all.

The triplets are the triplets and it's very hard in my opinion not to like Trys so much. He's so unbothered and free and all about Micah all the time. I love that energy from him. Ty is the strong silent one and also all about Micah so I very much liked him as well. I don't think we ever get the what the heck behind where he keeps those knives.

There are parts of the story that were left unsettled which I didn't really appreciate and in such a short time, HellNight Academy is the place to be. With the two sides being at war for so long, the ease with which demons and angel fighters come together just doesn't seem realistic to me. A bit more time than went by in this book is needed. Similar to my last review, I wish the author had slowed down and taken more time with this book. So much happens so fast. One thing I didn't get though is why Micah took so long to do her angel fire neutralization move in the final battle. I expected the angel fire at the outset followed by whatever fight was left within Michael and his loyal followers after Micah took his army from him by dousing them in angel fire. Instead, she does the tattoo trick mid fight. Anyway, in general I was dissatisfied with this book but again, not sure if it's a me thing or if other readers kind of zoned out. I'm sure part of my reason is because the prophesies and visions don't make for enjoyable reading for me, flashbacks can be annoying and Lyrik's flashback to a conversation with Esme while he's inside of Micah was off.

This was a great end to this series! I mean...not great. Dreia and I are currently beefing and she knows why. When you get to the end of the book, you'll know too lol

But I thoroughly enjoyed this conclusion and I loved seeing all of Micah's relationships progress. I also loved seeing her fully embrace her badassery. She's that girl and finally she knows it.

I enjoyed seeing the growth from the triplets, more of Rook being the confident sexy man he is. Lyrik, Lyrik, Lyrik. I love that man. I am very intrigued by where Esme's story is going and I can't wait for more from her.

I loved Bishop in this book. I was intrigued by him from the very beginning but in this book I couldn't get enough of him.

I also love that Lucifer was portrayed as a big ol drama king.

Unbroken is the third and final book in the HellNight Academy series. THIS WAS ANOTHER INCREDIBLE ENDING! Ugh, so many amazing series hit their final book. Micah is one of my favorite MCs! The worldbuilding was phenomenal and kind of gave a Supernatural feel, especially when it came to angels and demons. This was soooo good!!!The HellNight Academy series is definitely one that I'd love to revisit again!

*insert I’m in a glass case of emotion meme here*

Ouch my heart 😭

The end is here and I don’t want to let go of this world 🥺

The twists and turns of this series kept me on the edge of my seat. Loved the different dynamics and how each relationship evolved. Not with just her men but with her family as well. Also loved Micah’s character development. Coming into her own and trusting herself.

Dreia had me ugly crying…again 😅

Why it gotta end like that 😭😭
I loved the whole series, the plot, the story but bam that ending was brutal and I am still left crying .

Honestly right now I love the author but hate her more for delivering such a painful ending to the story, nope the epilogue didn't do an iota of healing after the way the fight ended and honestly I don't know if I am ever going to recover from such a heartache💔

3.5🌟

Where the multiple POVs had me docking points in the second book, that combined with the overwhelming amount of spice in this one was a little too much for me. I kid you not, it seemed like every single chapter had spice and it got to the point where I started to get annoyed, unfortunately. Overall, I still loved this series. I just wished this book specifically focused more on the very serious issue at hand and didn’t take a break every chapter to scratch an itch 🫠.

I love this series i cried and laughed . But i am so incredibly disappointed in what happened with Esme , in the first book i was so happy because i love FF and a girl in why choose. But then instead Esme got another mate, and he was going to let his alpha hurt and kill her because his pack came first. Then he forces Esme to choose between him and the fmc . I honestly hate Sam with all my heart, i don't care about him at all and i think he's despicable for forcing her to choose in her heart. I'm so disappointed that they are just friends now? I kinda ruined the series for me to be honest, like what's the point of introducing Esme if she's just going to be a side character. They clearly had feelings for each other the two girls, the even kissed and felt attraction. But nope that whole development is thrown out the window because of Sam...who was going to let his alpha kill her. I'm also disappointed with a certain character ending, i felt like it was unnecessary for him to die but oh well. I also remembered that Roderick never apologized to Esme either, which is weird considering he spent three books regretting what he did to the FMC and i wished he could have done the same thing about Esme. But i loved this book series, like i said some disappointing things.

I’m so sorry to the author, and I hope they do not read this.

[big spoiler] i wanted to give it 1, but I’m giving it a 3 because it was not poorly written. Had I known this series was going to end the way it does, I would not have read it. I do not do main character deaths. It is a hard no for me, I actively stay away from stories with it, so I was not prepared, and I am shattered. And I don’t say that lightly. I wish I could do stories like this.

I read all three books in 3 days. If I didn't have an actual life that got in the way, I could've read all 3 back to back in 1 day, it was THAT good. There's love, loss, vengance, spice, growth and chaos plus the author puts sooooo much detail into the emotion of this series that it is just hard to put down. She writes this book in a way that makes you what the characters are feeling. Micha's wins and losses become yours. I want more but I know it needed to end how it did.

What the fuuuuuuuudge! Noooo! This shoulda been 75 pages more. There wax enough for me. Like - the ending?! Wth. I didnt like that the FMC and the FLI didn't interact like they shouldve. I feel like there was hesitancy for the sapphic. I could be wrong. But there needs to be a spin off at least. Like wtf !

I don't know how this isn't more popular. I feel like this is the type of book that booktok would really love.

This (darkish) paranormal fantasy romance trilogy was unique in my opinion. There's the why choose trope ( partly consisting of triplets. So be mindful). This has erotic scenes and there's blood gore/violence/bondage(sexually and not). I didn't like all the love interests but it didn't matter too much. I guess that's because I loved the FMC so much.

Angels, demons, witches, werewolves etc. And a magical academy. This book/series hit. This trilogy and the other one i read (the fae academy) almost make me feel like i did back in the day with vampire academy and all that. This series is definitely not young adult though.
I think this trilogy should be read and I recommend it!

IDK what happened to my first review but I gave this book a 3.3.

This last boom was all over the place and there were too many POVs. Micah is in her head a lot about not wanting to lose the ones she loves. One minute she on the brink of despair and the next she's lusting after her tethers and mates. It's weird.

Also, everything is happening in warped speed. She just started Hellnight, like a month in, and she learns that Michael wants her dead. Then in another month she miraculously knows how to use all of her powers. All the ones she was forced to suppress as well as the ones she didn't know she had. At no point between all the chaos and screwing do we see her training or with anyone to teach her how to use them. She was just ready to face to face an archangel millenia old.

And with all of the build up over 3 books, the face off between Micah and Michael was completely lack luster.
I wanted so badly to love this series but it was just a lot, like too much. I'm gonna try more from this author in hopes of...idk just better I guess.

This one in the series was my favorite. Its funny, quirky, spicy, and action packed.

If you are highly religious, you may want to steer clear of this series, but it was paranormal spicy fantasy indeed.

I liked the series as a whole. I enjoyed this book in particular, as it started to really character build the other mmcs (there are multiple), as well as the side characters.

Their voice was finally heard. I enjoyed the banter, and really feel like this series could continue.

3.5⭐️🌶️🌶️🌶️ The only thing I can say about this book is that I don’t like that it did not have a full, happy ending, but it was very cliché, and I saw it coming. I also felt like it was too long.

Totally Broken

It wasn’t enough but I don’t think it ever could or would be because these characters stuck with me. Ty, Trys, and Rook buried themselves so deep in my heart it’s unreal. I think Wells did an incredible job of balancing the romance and the intense plot of this series. I have no doubts that if you read all 3 books back to back it is an intense feeling. I’ll be doing it myself as soon as I can. Because I needed more twins but they basically had Micah all to themselves in book 1. And while emotionally it will never be enough, in reality we didn’t get enough time with Ro Ro and Lykric and that hurts and left things feeling a bit incomplete but it’s understandable. Because this is a building world and the story followed the course it’s building towards. This was an epic conclusion and while it isn’t a traditional ending I think it’s very fitting for a dark fantasy romance. No victory comes without a cost. I can’t lie and say I’m not disappointed with a few things but it in no ways takes away from how incredible this book was or the series as a whole.

UNBROKEN by DREIA WELLS

I read and loved the first two books in this series, a new magical world, a new take on shifters, a new and fresh everything! I wasn't sure what to expect in this book, after the ending in the previous one, it was with much trepidation, and a teensy bit of fear that I started this one but thankfully I was able to let go of my anxiety as it uncoiled within the first two chapters. Shoo, now I've released that stress, I can tell you the rest...

Micah is an MC to really get behind, you'll want to! She's strong, she's fierce, she's ultra protective and all her confusion about having multiple mates has dissipated as she accepts her new reality, yes, even Rodyn finally falls into place! But heavens help her and them, no, LITERALLY, she is only one who can stop this insanity that Michael is unleashing. She has so many choices to make, one would think she'd buckle from the pressure but not our Micah! She's like a bull that's been antagonised, and when the battle finally comes to be, she plows in head first! Her commitment to her mates and theirs to her is a thing of beauty, I absolutely adored seeing the effect they have on each other, not only sexually, which they have in abundance and is really steamy, but the reliance on each other and need to protect each other.

The relationships grow in a steady stream, although they all have major hurdles to overcome. The triplets, having discovered who their father is, become more, their personalities finally have a way to shine, well, once they've dealt with daddy dearest! I really enjoyed the characters, especially Bishop! He might be the Angel of Death but he gets dad of the year high five from me! Rook and Lyrik, Esme and Sam, and so many tender moments had me really oooing and aaaing a lot but I did shout out a huge NO of disbelief when.... when... OMG, when! So the tears of joy turned to tears of grief, then back to joy, adding to my anguish as I watched it all unfold. Not in a way I had expected but in a very well packaged although ruffled parcel.

This book took me through countless emotions as I lived through the characters, felt for the characters and the renewed conviction that what or who one deems "good" might just not be! Very intriguing twists with Angels, Demons, Nephilim and Witches, oh and delicious hot scenes too! Couldn't get any better....

"I never asked to be a hero. I didn't want it; I didn't need it. Glory is fleeting, and so is winning. The history pages turn, and you just become a footnote."

I spent a good portion of this weekend reading all three of the HellNight Academy books. When I was done on Sunday, I felt like I needed more. So much so that I ordered Dreia's entire backlist and other reading commitments notwithstanding, I will be diving in while between for sure!

This series was incredibly written. What I thought I knew about good and evil, the HellNight Academy series challenged me, engaged me, and provoked a change in my thinking without changing any of the validity in what I learned growing up. Not sure how Dreia was able to do that, but that makes an amazing author in my book. She snuck it in there, although not the least bit subtly!

I am so glad I started with the first two books before diving in. And relieved that I had book 3 at the ready for when I was finished. Dreia left us hanging and shattered in the first two, y'all!!! But Unbroken was everything I wanted and more than what I thought I needed, so worth the journey.

I am in love with ALL of the HellNight Academy characters, even Lucifer. This is the final book in the trilogy, although there is a hint for one of the characters to get their own after this, and I am here for it!!!

HellNight Academy is not for the faint hearted. This is an intense book from the first sentence in book 1, through the last words in book 3. Please read all of the trigger warnings, and this is definitely an 18+ adult read, not an YA academia!

What I loved about this series:

1) The characters - This was my first reverse harem series and I wasn't sure how I could like and get to know all the players, but I loved them all, and it made total sense to me!! I would LOVE to have a crew like that
2) The plot - The world building was amazing and went deeper each book.
3) The theme of good vs evil and not always black and white literally.
4) The Spice. A lot of spice.
5) Did I mention the reverse harem? I want them all!!!!
6) Love for parents in midst of chaos and betrayal - wow that one really stood out to me even when I hated the parents.
7) The triplets. Even without the reverse harem.

If you like superspice with your fantasy romances, and a side of academia, you will enjoy this series!

Dreia Wells wraps up the HellNight Academy series with Unbroken the third and final book. Micah and the gang have been through a lot but I don't think anyone was prepared for what was gonna happen least of all me.

Gods, Micah has been fighting from the start of this series and she's not finished fighting yet. Big things are set in motion and for the first time, Micah seems to doubt herself. She struggles a lot in this, wondering if she can accomplish her task but still, she continues, to protect those she loves.

Luckily Micah gets her undying support from her loved ones. The triplets go through some things, finding out about their own family secrets but they make it through and turn out better after it. Rodyn is the most changed out of the brothers, after a self-reflection he finally figures things out. The bonds between them and Micah is stronger than ever. As for Micah's mates, Rook and Lyrik as always, are strong and supportive of Micah.

I did not expect the story to go the way that it did. I didn't care for the way Esme's storyline went. Of course, I had a problem with Esme for a while but now just nope. I understand that people react that what I just never agreed with her choices. I feel like Driea left an opening for Esme to have at the least a spin-off standalone. Then there was the ending where Driea just broke my heart. Tears are running down my face as I write this. Gods, the horror. That aside I'm glad I got to see more of Bishop, the protective side came out not just for Micah but for her entire group as well. He's a good dad especially compared to the triplets' dad. Micah's purpose is finally revealed and it's shocking and readers learn the fate of a few players.

Unbroken was the shocking finale to the series, a good read with an unexpected storyline. Driea is a fantastic writer and I love her but she broke me with that ending. I'm not okay. I'm gonna miss these characters I'm not ready to say goodbye.

**I received an ARC for an honest review!

Micah we rooting for you, you got this!!

What can I say that hasn't been said about the HellNight Academy series??? I have been intrigued and enthralled in this story since book one, so getting here to book three has been a joy! Congrats to Dreia for bringing a world like non other to the page and introducing us to these amazing characters!!

Micah is the daughter of two light gardians who has not been accepted into Caelum Academy where her Mother is headmistress. When she is turned away for the umptenth time she receives a mysterious invitation to the antithesis to Caelum...HellNight Academy. We can just say all hell breaks out! She finds out she is mated with a set of triplets ( 2 Necromancers & a Warlock), a Shadow demon, a Succumbis, and tethered to a Blue Mountain Witch! Whew! Our girl is very satisfied....OKAYYY!

Book three is the culminating moment for Micah, her tethers and fated mates. The Archangel Michael is closing in on making his threats come to pass and its up to Micah and her loves to save the free will of all and bring this angelic fight to an end or else God may make this the last fight for the world!!

If you're looking for an exciting, passionate, sexy, warriors of the earth type of story...this is the one for you!!! The HellNight Academy series is a must read!!!

This book had me frustrated at times, but it was a good story. In my opinion, the tether to Esme was not needed. They could have been best friends from jump helping each other with their problems because that's what friends do. Micah and Esme had the least relationship building, and that was very disappointing. I love this story, but girl, the sex between Esme and Micah, we could have done without that. Dont start nothing you cant finish Sis lol It did feel like a cop out to not have to write about lesbian love, which was a bit of a letdown for me. Moving along with having 5 male companions, it can get a bit of eye rolling with all the possessiveness 24/7. It would have been great to have a couple of easy-going and sharing lovers. Ty and trys shared with each other but were very possessive. It was exhausting at times. I liked the vulnerability in Micah and seeking guidance and strength from her lovers. The story is over and done with, but even with some slight disappointments, I would definitely recommend the series to others!Thank you for this great journey and sharing your talent with us! Keep up the great work sis! I wouldn't be a fan if I didn't share my honest opinions with you. Don't hate me Sis!!

Unbroken by Dreia Wells is the third and final book in the HellNight Academy series. It did not disappoint my expectations!
What I loved was how the themes of the story remained true from book one, and the chess reference at the end satisfied me.
I also liked how no character is safe, and it adds an element of suspense I enjoy when I read a book.
There were some long awaited and enjoyable intimate moments that sure made me happy. But the ending! She ripped my heart out! She puts her characters in situations that really made me feel for them. And when we have multiple POVs there is a investment in the characters where you can't help but have empathy for them.
This is not a light and fluffy story where everyone gets happily ever after. No. And it's not for the faint of heart where the good guys win and go home. They win, but there's sacrifices, just like how we have in real life. I think anything less than what Dreia wrote would have felt false to me as a reader.
Dreia shows once again she is an author who has a firm grip on her characters and plots giving the reader a story to command your attention and escape reality for a little while.

Gosh there’s a lot to unpack from this final book of the trilogy 🙈Driea really make you feel for the characters through all that they face, and there’s a lot to face!! Including death, loss and Michael 😬
Thankfully Micha accepts her new self and the challenges placed upon her, they’re lucky she is such a bad@s$. For the world and all who live in it, human and supernatural alive she needs to face Michael and all that he’s going to the Guardians!
Thankfully Micah has an incredible support network including her brother and Bishop who is certainly stepping up in his role of father 😄 and let’s not forget her harem! We have the triplets, who have their own journey with their father and demonness 🙈 Lyric certainly comes into his own in this one and Rook is forever his unique self 😁 the only thing is I’m still not 100% sure of Esmes role as a tether 😬
Oh my gosh the scenes between Micah and her boys though 🔥🌶️
Overall an interesting take on the whole good vs bad alongside angels and demons.

Well *hello* family drama... and an EPIC final battle!!

Ok...I'm not crying, you are ::::sniff sniff:::::

Yup, the final battle has arrived, and with it a *whole* bunch of emotions within these pages. Get ready to feel ALL the feels 😉. Micah is in for one doozy of a ride (both emotionally and physically). We have family issues galore, action, action and yup...you guessed it...more action, a little spice, and of course a few surprises thrown in for good measure. There's LOTS of adrenaline along the way too as our soul tethers, mates, friends and family face off with the big bad(s) ...and a few shocking revelations. This final book of the series certainly had me hooked until the very last word. So much was packed into this last book, it boggles the mind. I for one am hoping Esme gets a spinoff-- and maybe we'll get to see a few of the other characters pop up from time to time? Just a thought. Overall an excellent and exciting read! The growth Micah and her guys showed throughout the series is huge. This fascinating world never ceased to be interesting and full of excitement/surprises. I highly recommend this finale!

I love this series and couldn’t wait to jump back in. I was so glad this book has a what happened previously. Because I completely forgotten half the stuff that was mention in it. With having this little extra it meant i didn’t have to go back and read the first two books again, and was immediately able to start it. Dam this book is not a disappointment at all it is just as great as the last 2 in the series. With even more revelations happening it’s getting exciting. When Micha died everything changed for her. When God tells her she needs to save the world. Well she must do it since it came directly from god himself. She must learn to harness all her abilities as a witch nephilim and warrior. Micha never asked or wanted this responsibility but for everyone she loves she is ready sacrifice everything even her own life. Dam so much other stuff I want to scream about but better not just can’t believe that happened… anyway I loved this series from start to finish

Unbroken is the final book in the HellNight Academy series and I have been about to bust waiting for this book to be released! It contains all of my favorite things: why choose, academy setting, paranormal, and MPV! Micah is one of my favorite FMC’s to date. She’s so strong and so protective which I love. The spice level of this book is immaculate {{cough cough….the triplets….cough cough}}. And don’t think because there is spice that there won’t be plot, because that is far from true. The world building was fantastic, so much that I wish there would be a spin off series in the same world (I don’t want to give spoilers, but once you read it, you will know who needs their story told). One thing I will say about the series is that it did NOT end the way I anticipated. I was sad and heartbroken, but the ending was fantastic. Everything about the series was so good and I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!

Unbroken is one of this roller coaster novels. The beginning starts out a bit slow, and you'll be wondering when is the drama going to hit the fan, but hang on, because it's coming.
Micah has been put through so much, but this author isn't anywhere finished with her yet. At least, not until the very end. LOL! Micah died. But it ain't over! Not by a long shot! She still has a major war to fight, and she's going to have to pull out all the stops and put aside some of her own emotional baggage if she is going to come out victorious for this one. Secrets, surprises, twists, loss, and so much more is packed into this book. You might as well grab a few tissues because you're going to need them...more than once.
This book is going to keep you on your toes and coming back for more. Overall it is a very satisfying read, and a really good finale to this series. Not everything ends perfectly, but for me, that makes it all the better.

Brace for it; it’s going to be a bumpy ride. And while parts of this are the conclusion I was hoping for, there’s so much in this book that wasn’t at all what I was expecting. Because so much of this story completely blindsided me, I’m not even sure what I can say about it that won’t be considered spoiler-y. I loved what Mica, her mates, tethers, and family were able to achieve, but the sacrifices they make are kind of huge and I’m still coming to terms with that fact. I’m also so very grateful to know that this isn’t the last we’ll see of these characters. However, I know that the events of this book will have changed them all in ways we cannot even comprehend just yet. Until we get to see what their future brings, I need to sit with this ending and absorb its full impact.
I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author.

The title of this book may be “Unbroken”, but that is not how I’m feeling right now. No; the author left me behind in a lot of tiny little pieces at the end of this book… And my Kindle almost ended up in even more pieces the moment I felt the intense desire to throw it against te wall. Nope; I am not okay right now.

It is nearly impossible to write a review to this book without giving away any spoilers, because the only thing on my mind right now is a massive spoiler. But I guess I can say this: you won’t be able to predict how this book will go. You can try and make some assumptions, but I’m absolutely certain you will be wrong, or you’ll at least have missed some important development.

I absolutely recommend this series, but… beware of the plot twists
