What if your very existence was punishable by death?
Sasha lives far from Earth, on the planet where Atlantis once prospered. There the Atlanteans have been conducting a millennia-long experiment of which Sasha is the culmination. She is the Original hybrid, half-human/half-Atlantean, whose creation sent a nanite-filled wave of energy across her world – creating the hybrid species. One caveat exists to complete this experiment – the Original hybrid must die. If not, every newly-turned hybrid will die instead, and Atlanteans will leave no trace of their civilization or technology behind.
New to life and battling mental stability over sharing her mind with the AI who created her, Sasha finds herself in an uneasy alliance with Nikolai, the prince of the most influential colony in her world. Despite his privileged life, he harbors a secret – he’s traveled through time. Past, present, and future converge when the Original hybrid is born behind the Atlanteans’ backs. And soon, Nikolai must decide between the life he has found and escape through time – a choice irrevocably tied to Sasha.
In this whirlwind of time travel, betrayal, and love – the impulsive and spirited Sasha must decide if there truly is more to life than surviving in a place where nobody is as they seem.
I don't normally read science fiction, but I was intrigued by the premise and wow! once I started reading, it was a page turner! Great world building and high stakes drama as star-crossed lovers Nikolai and Sasha find themselves going up against otherworld beings, host bodies, and time traveling seems like the most natural occurrence! Chocked full of riveting action, the author did a marvelous job as I found the story easy to follow and thoroughly enjoyable. I look forward to reading the next upcoming book in the series!
Such an amazing first book! I'm hoping it will be a series. The characters were intriguing and the story keep getting better and better. This was a couldn't put it down kind of book! Loved it.
