A Legendary Love

Rate this book
Keep grinding until the life you live is the life you want.

This is what Demi Savage tells herself every day she walks into her dead-end job when she wishes she was in the dance studio working toward her dream of being a booked and paid background dancer for the greats. She never imagined that renting luxury cars for a living would be her reality, but she refuses to let it kill her dreams.

She has a goal set for herself, and she’s determined to reach it. Romance is the furthest thing from her brain when Aason Legend walks into her job making demands.

Aason had always been about family and his businesses, but when he and Demi collide, everything changes. From the moment he laid eyes on her, he claimed her as his own, but Demi’s heartbreaking past has her fighting his desire to love her at every turn. She has taken so many romantic losses and is convinced Aason will just be another one, but he’s determined to show her that he’s nothing like the rest.

Is Aason’s love powerful enough to change Demi’s view, or will she allow her hurt to cause her to miss out on something legendary?

4.5✨A Legendary Love was a really sweet story. There was instant attraction between Aason and Demi. I loved how they became friends and really built a strong bond before taking the next level. Both struggled with their past: Demi with relationships and being independent, while Aason struggled with not having the love of his mother. Loved the protective nature of both characters. Hoping Aaron gets a spin-off!

Yeah no....this wasn't for me.

The writing was a bit off putting because we would change whose perspective we were reading from mid paragraph and chapter.

The MMC was annoying, the FMC was immature and indecisive. She got drunk 3 times in the book and kept saying 'she doesn't drink much'...well girl I can't tell because you've been drunk multiple times in the book.

There is no reason for the MMC to be named Aason and his brother to be named Aaron and then they both go by nicknames that we aren't told in advance and have to just figure out. This was a miss from me from an author who has rarely disappointed.

Whew Chile! Where so I begin? Demi is a very headstrong independent woman. Working a job just until she can follow her dream. Aason walks in to the job and there is an instant attraction. Demi isn't bet for Aason because of past heartbreak, but Aason wants her and will stop at nothing to get her. The man had the patience of a Saint. This Story had me laughing, crying and down right pissed off. But I enjoyed all of it. Daddy Savage was a piece of work and didn't play about his girls. Even Mama Savage was hip to the game. Aaron was a funny as all get out. Chrissy was so loyal to her cousin. I really hope her and Aaron get a Story. I definitely recommend reading this book.

Demi hates her job, works at Chase Luxury Car Rental as a store associate, has dreams of being a professional dancer, but refuses to quit her job and pursue a career in dance. She has trained as a dancer since she was 3, but believes her dance is just her way of settling and decides to stay at her dull, boring job that she hates with a passion. One night as Demi is getting ready to close, Aason walks and takes Demi’s breath away. He puts the G in grown to shame. This man was so damn fine. Gave BDE as soon as he stepped into the building. Aason was trying to flirt with Demi, but she completely ignored him and acted like she didn’t hear him.

I wish a fine man would come to my workplace and start flirting with me, baby… I wanted to ring Demi’s neck back for playing in Aason’s face like that. Demi had sworn off relationships with the bad experiences she had in the past. Demi had a thing for dealing with diaper buddies, (men who act like children), so because her dating standards were low she assumed it wasn’t meant for her to be in a serious relationship.Demi did something that had me looking at her sideways, she called in to work so she could avoid seeing Aason again. Like omg, bfr this girl was really trying to make me come find her for real. Like she knew she wanted Aason, but was being too scary and timid for my liking.

Aason came from humble beginnings, growing hungry and him and his twin brother, Aaron having to fend for themselves. The guys' lives changed for the better once Silas, a local barbershop owner, comes into their life and becomes a father figure to them. Silas’s imprint of Aaron and Aason influenced them to open up several businesses. Demi thought she was doing something by getting her coworker to fill in for her, but Aason was a smart one and told his personal assistant to find out everything about Demi. Aason wasn’t playing around and he was going to make sure he ended up with Demi.

Demi then does something stupid again, she rear ends Aason’s car. Demi is now panicking because she doesn’t want her car insurance to go up, but Aason tells her that she doesn’t have to worry about anything and the only thing he asks is if she goes out on a date with him. That serves Demi right, but trying to ghost Aason at her job. But the date doesn’t happen. Aason ends up having to save Demi again when her car gets repossessed. This man always comes through for Demi when she is in a crisis.

i don’t think i’ve ever read a more perfect ending .

This time we meet some of Jaimsss’s new characters - Demi and Aason. One of the most beautiful underlying themes in this book is the importance of family - Demi and her cousin/sister Crissy and Aason and his twin brother Aaron, along with Demi’s parents, and Silas who raised the twins. I found myself just as moved by the moments for bonding the writer gave to us amongst the family members, and felt my heart strings pulled by the intensity of their connections and each character’s desire to protect their own. It was so special to see Demi and Aason’s love for one another gel the bodies together, but of course there were some obstacles in their way!

The writer took the time to really cultivate a courtship with these characters - the attraction was there for something romantic, but their pasts played some part in their relationship issues. Each had their own insecurities that caused them to lack trust and confidence in what they had at times. The author gives us real life instances that readers can identify with and ultimately offers us the solution to living healed - prioritizing our faith and mental health and leaning into the love and support of our community. Mind you, she dishes this subliminal through the most coveted love story - I see you, Jaimsss!

Love that the couple was able to overcome their personal struggles for the sake of their togetherness, and the opps too. Once they finally “chose” each other their love welcomed what Demi thought was an impossible gift into their lives - she was pregnant!

I don’t think I’ve ever read a more beautiful ending - I laughed and I cried the happiest tears as their family was made complete. Jaimsss was able to weave in emotion with suspense and affection in the most perfect way. This could be my favorite book yet!

Oh to have Patience!!!

Aason’s patience was unmatched with the way he dealt with Demi. He was determined to get what he wanted. Aason was willing to work hard to prove to Demi they were meant to be together.

I understood Demi was hurt and skeptical about being in a relationship because of being hurt previously but she was beginning to drain me. It was good she wanted to be independent, but she took it to another level. It began to look like she was just being stubborn.
Overall, it was a good read.

Legendary love

This was a cute story and a bit of a slow burn. Aason knew what he wanted as soon as he saw Demi and showed her every chance he got. I loved that this couple built a friendship before going into a relationship immediately especially with the baggage they both held. Demi was a little annoying at times but you could tell she was moving out of fear from her past hurts. The ending of the book made their journey and story well worth the read.

Hummm…. A cute read but a little bit too slow or to drab…

First time reading this author and although I find this story a little bit too slow and boring, I will read her books again.
I thought Aason was perfect but Demi killed me with her ways and I believe that’s why I couldn’t go any faster or actually enjoyed it the way I should. She was not a good heroine. Chrissy was better and I like Aaron.
In any case, besides all that it was a good story still!!!

Legendary!!!

I really enjoyed this book. The love between Demi and Aason was unexpected, but explosive. Two broken souls found each other at the right time and saw the best in each other.
Aason protects the woman he loves at all cost and she definitely does the same for her man, even going after his own mother after seeing what her actions did to him.
I’m so glad Ames finally got what he deserved!!! Great job Jaimsss P. I’m looking forward to reading Aaron’s story.

Ace and Demi

Ace and Demi had a lot going on. He had abandonment issues and she had a string of no good boyfriends who had her not giving love a chance. Thus, there was a lot of back and forth with them. Demi was strong and standing on business one minute and stomping and pouting like a child the next. While my nerves were worked, I had to see it through and the ending was beautiful.

Unusual but Legendary

This was a beautiful story. Ace and Demi were perfect for each other. Usual hiccups were introduced and taken care of throughout the book. Her dad was the character I enjoyed the most. Kingston is the dad of dads… All characters were great. Would be interesting to see if Aaron gets his HEA especially with Yolanda ready to pounce again.

Happy Reading!

Beautiful couple ♥️

Another wonderful book, of course, I read it out of order, it is still wonderful. I'm so happy for Demi and Aaron it was a bit of a chase, but he made it happen. Yes, I would recommend this book. Just read it in order. As always, it was an absolute pleasure reading your book 🥰.

Aason and Demi

This was such a good love story. Ace was like I'll be your friend but in due time you will be mine. That no good daddy got just what he deserved. I loved that Ace (although a lil unhinged) spoke life into Demi. I also really appreciated Chrissy and Demi's sister/cousin relationship as well as Ace and Air's. I can't wait to read Chrissy and Aaron's story.

Demi and Aason

These two are a great funny pair. This story is about allowing someone to love you fully. I love how she showed all the aspects of a family and and how hard it can be to just realize you deserve love. Great story

I'm mad that I read the second book first, but this one was equally as good. Aason is another top tier book boyfriend, and I’m just really in love with this author’s writing.

This was a really good love story. I love how Demi and Ace built a solid friendship before the relationship. Though they both dealt with past trauma, they helped each other through it.

🔥💜

love at first sight—the kind of love that makes you want to turn the page faster just to see how it all unfolds. Their connection was instant, magnetic, and so deeply felt, it had me swooning like I was watching a classic Black love movie play out in real time.

Demi’s journey? Inspirational. She’s grinding, chasing dreams, refusing to let life’s setbacks steal her shine. And Aason? Whew, that man was giving BOOK BOYFRIEND PERFECTION. He was persistent, intentional, and exactly the kind of love Demi didn’t even know she needed.

This story wasn’t just about romance—it was about healing, believing in love again, and recognizing when something REAL is standing right in front of you. The way they pushed through their fears, held each other down, and built something solid? Yeah, I was ALL IN.

5 stars. 10/10. Highly recommend. If you love swoon-worthy romance, deep emotions, and a love story that makes your heart do backflips, grab this book ASAP!
