Just as Seonghun righted himself from the whirlwind of connecting with his love, girlfriend, future…his Maliah; he thinks it’s safe to relax and settle into their undefined relationship.
As their connection grows deeper, they are testing their limits with themselves and each other. In the midst of all of this, Seonghun’s lab partner, Shiwon has started taking more than a passing interest in Liah.
Is Shiwon going to be the thing that shatters what he is building with Maliah? Everything and everyone he holds dear is in danger, this time from the actions of a heartless person.
Will Seong have the courage to tell Liah how he really feels before the winter’s snow freezes their relationship before it can bloom?
The book picks up right where the last one ends, which is a relief because the last one ends with a doozy of a cliffhanger. We jump right in to our characters dealing with their arch nemesis and defeating them. From there story resumes telling us the tale of our main characters developing romance, even our favorite side characters get a chance to further develop their romance and it is just so sweet. We also get a deepening of friendships throughout the story and watch as a character who wasn't a primary focus in book 1, join our group of friends and begin to develop what may be the some of the first sincere friendships in their life. And lets not forget the spice. Beautifully added into the story in a way that it actually adds to it. Winter is well written and flows beautifully. It's written in a way that despite its size, you will find yourself engaged and reading quickly because you need to know what happens next.
I patiently, impatiently waited for this book. I was not disappointed. And now I will try to patiently wait for the next book. I love Seong and Liah. I love the dynamics and heart between the two. Part of me wishes the author would go into more detail in relation to the intimacy between the two but what is there is good. I hope Shiwon doesn't try anything that will make Seong have to punch him.
Seonghan and Maliah continue their journey in this beautifully written book. The characters are real to life and the empathy and feelings portrayed well and the backgrounds solid. An excellent sequel to Fall A Year of Change I received an advance copy of this book and my review is my own words voluntary
