The book is structured well and covers many topics. It is brief, but this felt more like a backbone of information and the rest - one has to dig deeper. I found myself highlighting a big part of the book at some cases. I also liked the fact that timing and roles were properly stressed throughout a book. Some tools provided can be used in day to day operations, buf the merger can use available toolset, so that was ok. I did find HR part mostly not covered to my disappointment, but other than that it is a brief summary of everything that is happening during the merger.
Just a lot of businessy buzzwords and not a lot of useful or practical information. I doubt I'll find this book very helpful moving forward in integrations work.
It has lots of good suggestions and ideas; however, the book covers each of these rather quickly and lacks some depth. Also, this book is good for integration in corporate America or larger European businesses where there are very developed corporate dynamics. It won't help much in integrations in developing countries like China.
A very practical guide for integration of organizations. It is an easy read and gives one the "basics" as one approaches an integration. I highly recommend it!
