From his early days as a software developer to his many years architecting Microsoft-based solutions, Randy has been delivering innovation for nearly 25 years. As Director of Services at AvePoint, Randy's current focus is helping organizations align information management solutions with the strategic needs of business. As an advisor, Randy provides thought leadership and strategic counsel to executives across governance, cloud, enterprise social collaboration, and business continuity matters.

Randy Williams is an expert in architecting and developing Microsoft-based web and database solutions, and he has worked with enterprise organizations throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Randy has been working with SharePoint since 2001 and has led dozens of implementations across numerous verticals. As a Microsoft Certified Trainer since 1996, Randy is passionate about sharing his knowledge and has also delivered training to thousands of students across the globe. Always a community leader, Randy has run user groups in Hawaii, Singapore, and San Diego.

Randy writes and edits articles for SharePointPro and Windows IT Pro magazines, and his latest book – SharePoint 2013 Administration Inside Out – will be released in December 2013. Randy has also authored and co-authored over a dozen information management whitepapers. He has a master’s degree in Information Systems, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, along with a number of Microsoft certifications. From 2009-2011, he was awarded the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) in SharePoint. A frequent speaker at conferences and symposiums worldwide, Randy currently lives in San Diego, Calif.
