This would be a great book for a beginning student's Spanish library. It includes good enough explanations with examples. If you like things to the point and covering at least 50% of a topic, then the book will get you started. Just don't treat it as complete. For the parts the book doesn't talk about, like the subjunctive mood, you'll need other resources. Brief exercises included.

highly recommend this! it’s a great reference - not comprehensive, of course, but very useful for people with a little bit of background in spanish to really get a better grasp of the fundamentals. of course i couldn’t absorb anything in the short time i borrowed this from the library but it’s a book that i would definitely buy for reference.

Unfortunately for me, I guess, I’m really interested in Spanish grammar. This book is nice, breezy, quick, but its organization wasn’t helpful to finding answers to specific questions. In this series, the main things appear to be niceness, breeziness, entertainment. I would’ve loved this as a young kidbeing taught Spanish by mamá, elementary through middle school years. That age cohort rather than adult learners is the group to whom I’d recommend Spanish Grammar for Dummies.
