Insightful and concise

Starting at the very beginning, the book takes you through the adventures of owning and running a food truck.
As an owner of one in Greece for the past five years, it was still useful, although most references were for the US market

My daughter finished school and we had to find something to keep her and me busy for the next 30 years. She has Down syndrome and working out in the general public is really not an option. We decided to open an ice cream truck business. I chose this book to learn everything I could about the start upside of things. This book helped me decide what product to sell, how to choose the right vehicle, truck set up, locations...everything. I kept this with me and took notes. I followed the guidance and had our new business up and running within a short couple of months. If you are seriously considering starting a food truck business of ANY type, I highly recommend reading this book! 5 stars all the way.

This is the 3rd Food Truck start-up business book I have read and easily the least valuable. Lots of repetitive topics and advice (author increases page length by repeating concepts again and again) and the content is a bit dated (~10 years old). It also seemed as if content from running a brick & mortar type restaurant was repurposed for this book with edits... at least several chapters read that way. Overall, I would avoid this Dummies book if you are really interested in the Food Truck business. Just too blah and minimally helpful.

Do yourself a favor and read The Food Truck Handbook instead.
