As beautiful as you would imagine for the Laurens in the Hamptons. But the history part is well done, and there is a sweetness to the family story: her learning to cook and trying to get her kids to eat fish…relatable and more real than one would imagine. Delicious looking fairly simple recipes. Makes me want to pack a beautiful picnic and head to the beach.

Did you know the hamptons is a nice place to live? Well it is!

This book is very plain vanilla like not even madagascar vanilla but that’s ok because I like vanilla.

Ricky Lauren, wife of designer Ralph Lauren has written a book that reflects her deep love for her family and the Hamptons. The book is heavy and large to the point of being oversize to showcase the stunning photographs of Ricky's recipes, the Hamptons, home decor and personal Lauren family photos. The recipes are a mix of seasonal, comfort foods and coastal seafood such as fish and chips, mussels, seared tuna and clambakes. Due to the book's size this is not a book I would add to my cookbook collection but it's a lovely photo diary reflecting the author's obviously charmed and affluent lifestyle.
