In the beginning the Island of Harun was covered with the ashes of Neeshika. The beast lived off the negative feelings of the Northerners. Aaron also feared the creature but by turning his flaws into strengths he defeated Neeshika. The Northerners were grateful to Aaron and made him their god.

Aaron and the Council of the Guardians hoped that Neeshika would never take form again but the people they led couldn’t avoid every conflict. Centuries later, the Adelmo war began. The Northerners defeated the Adelmo tribe, forcing them to flee the island. The Northerners benefited as a community, many unaware of the struggles of others until a girl named Wren was kidnapped.

Ten years later Wren is living within the Adelmo fortress, anxious to get away. After she escapes, Wren returns to the island. Initially her only struggle is blending in until her community is attacked by the Valencia family. Wren creates a plan in order to enter the Forest of Aaliyah and confront the Valencia family and their followers.
