This book chronicles interviews Woodman has done with various agencies, with different themes involved. To me, it serves as a wonderful primer into Jungian theory.
While the interviews have various themes, the underlying tone is the same. That when people are no longer connected to their unconscious, the body will manifest disagreement with various physical aspects. The book opens with Woodman declaring that most of the physical problems - from overeating to undereating to addictions - all came from because such a person's inner self isn’t aligned with the outer self. Yet, such people refuse to communicate with the inner self, instead resorting to running away from the problem by using various distractions.
