I highly recommend this book to every married woman, regardless of the status of their relationship. I have read this book in it's entirety and because I reread these powerful prayers so often, it stays on my nightstand. Stormie Omartian is an excellent author and it is evident that she has been Blessed with a God given talent. Mrs. Omartian has a way of helping you see your husband, as well as yourself, through God's eyes. Whatever the situation, I always find the perfect prayers and coordinating bible verses that quickly enable my husband and I to get the revelations, lessons or Blessings that were needed at the time. I give God all the praise and glory for Blessing my marriage and keeping it strong. This book gives it's readers the tools required to achieve a healthy and happy marriage, through faith.

This pocket-size book is great for carrying around with you and finding pockets (pun intended) of time in the day to pray for your husband. Stormie's book by the same title is a great resource for encouraging wives to pray intentionally and specifically for their husbands and each chapter ends with a prayer focusing on that particular topic in the chapter (finances, direction in life decisions, health, etc). In this smaller version, you have those prayers (and new ones) to help you pray for you husband, coupled with a Bible verse. I kept this book on my nightstand and as I said my nightly prayers, I would grab it and pray through two or three prayers for Greg. A few times when the prayers for the day matched with what was going on in life (a job interview on the day I was praying for work, his health on a day he was sick), I prayed out loud over him, but usually I used it for my own personal prayer time for him. If you are looking for ways to grow in your prayer life specifically regarding your husband, the full-length book as well as this petite prayer book are great tools.

Originally read this book as a newlywed and picked it up again in February as part of a study I was doing. Always good to pray for your husband, but a little turned off by some "name it and claim it" type prayers sprinkled throughout. Good idea, though, praying for your husband, that is.

I enjoyed this book very much. I find that guided praying enhances my prayer life, and I especially enjoyed the privilege of praying specifically for my husband. The book uses scripture, also, which goes along with the prayer for the day. Recommend.

Omartian has written a very accessible little book that invites readers to come to God in prayer for our husbands. The focus is not on fixing but entrusting them to God in faith. I appreciated how each chapter had explanation, a sample prayer and “power tools” or supporting Scripture. I know I will come back to these prayers for my husband.

Her examples usually lent to the concept that when you pray, God will change your husband— I find that problematic. Though we should ask God for change, and have faith for it, we aren’t guaranteed it this side of heaven. Some of us may have a “thorn in the flesh” of us or our husbands struggling in a particular area like Paul did and God’s promises His power is made perfect in our weakness.

This book was so inspirational. I will be getting married in the 2025 and I wanted to read something that would give me good advice and information going into a marriage. Some of the guidance in this book was things I knew however this book also gave me so much insight on praying for your family, friends, husband, fiancé, and or boyfriend. I think that being the heart of the household is such an impactful role and one that requires a lot of strength (emotionally.) I really recommend this to anyone who is looking for Christian based knowledge for their relationship or to help people navigate the difficulties of marriage.

This book has helped me pray for my husband in an effective and meaningful way. I've always prayed for him but my prayers were often disjointed and never felt right. I know the Spirit understands all even prayers we can't find words for but I wanted my prayers to be fuller, truer. Stormy has included exact prayers for every situation. I pray numerous prayers over my husband every morning and sometimes throughout the day. The best prayer of all is the first prayer in the book. It is a prayer for me, his wife, that I may be the wife my husband needs. The wife the Lord wants me to become. Highly recommend this book.

Powerful, God-inspiring book! I would recommend everyone with a heart for prayer to get this book. Who definitely want and need God's help in making their husband to be everything that God called him to and loves him enough to pray him through every situation or season he maybe in. I was gifted this book when I first got married and have picked it up intermittently throughout the last 12 years. It’s a helpful, daily-ish guide for specific things and ways to pray. I find her language and examples feel out of touch and unrelatable at times. But the big picture goal is great and I’ll probably pick it up again over the years.

This book has been a great devotional prayer book. Even though this is a book filled with prayers for your husband, I used it not only to pray for my husband, but for marriages in general. It’s filled with various topics and points that were good reminders to lift in prayer. I am more encouraged to continue praying for marriages after going through this book of prayers.
