Book, Bath, Table, and Time: Christian Worship As Source and Resource for Youth Ministry

Rate this book
Book, Bath, Table, and Christian Worship as Source and Resource for Youth Ministry, offers practical and proven ideas that center youth ministry in liturgy and worship, with playfulness and practicality to successfully engage the younger generation. With solid theological grounding, Fred P. Edie provides suggestions on how youth can practice the ordo, the ancient church's ordered life around its liturgical holy bath (Baptism); book (Scriptures); table (Eucharist); and calendar (the prayerful patterning of time). Through this book, youth leaders will be able to guide Christian youth to experience God's presence and take up their baptismal vocations before God and for the world.

Should be required reading for every youth pastor or anyone who works with youth, pastors a church or helps plan worship. While it explains the importance of a good theology around worship for youth it is just as valuable for adults.

Really enjoyed it. Edie does an amazing job pushing people to push students so much further than we traditionally do. definitely keeping it on my bookshelf :)
