Lexi Sobado, aka Lynx, a psychic with an aptitude for seeing patterns others miss, is now a full-fledged strategist for Iniquus, an off-the-book Black Ops group. She’s thrilled to be working alongside her favorite people, and her relationship with Striker Rheas is on it’s way to becoming the Real Deal.

But things change when her mentor finally returns, sick out of his mind with malaria and brimming with classified information. He’s instantly off limits to Lexi, which is not okay in her book.

Meanwhile, she stays busy working Iniquus cases, making a name for herself. With each case she tackles, she feels the mental approach of a predator, which in her mind shows up as a white leopard. The one person she feels she can talk to about this, her mentor, is not available, unsettling her.

All too soon, Lexi’s been targeted and she’s faced with the task of figuring out the most important puzzle of her young life. This time the life and death stakes are hers and hers alone.

My thoughts: Holy cow! Get ready to be put through the ringer! I read this book in one sitting, honest to God, because I had to know what happened next. Fiona Quinn grabbed me on page one and didn’t let go. Thank goodness the next book in this series is already out. I don’t want to miss anything! My only warning is don’t start this book at bedtime unless you can afford to stay up all night. This one’s a keeper.

Fionna Quinn really hits her stride with this second book in her Lynx series, and I can only imagine how much fun she had in writing this. She's created a great dichotomy within the most important relationships in Lexi Sobado's life as she has to balance the professionalism, the danger of her profession and position, as well as her personal feelings for both her mentor, Spyder, and partner, Striker. Add to that the emotional baggage she carries from the death of her husband (of one week) and the complexities of being a psychic and you have some thrilling material.

This sequel also surprised me with where Fiona let it go, following her heroine to not so happy of an ending (though there's hope in the set up for book 3). Quinn is a master of the details, and brings in some fascinating theories with "shadow walking" and "veil walking." I could have spent more time with the intricacies of the many abilities Lexi utilizes, exploring even deeper the science and mythologies of these psychic walks.

All in all, this is a series that leaves you with a sense of enjoyment. If you don't have fun while diving into this world, I probably won't invite you out the next time I hit the town. If you haven't yet checked out Quinn's work, start with the first in the series, Weakest Lynx. I'll certainly be continuing the journey with book 3.

I did not finish this book. I've given it as much as I can and I made it to halfway through the book before I had to give up. Nothing was happening! It was all the same stuff chapter after chapter and I was waiting for something exciting to happen. It didn't.

Fiona Quinn, author

Love this strong, intelligent and intuitive young woman..... what's not to love about Lexi Sobado, aka... Lynx. Now part of the Iniquus team of operatives, Lexis uses her special skill set to aid the team in solving the agency's newest assignment... This story is full of intrigue, adventure, action and yes, that special nuance, love.... Lexi is falling for her hero, Striker and he for her, but wait, she's still married and trying to come to terms with new information about her husband, not to mention, the storyline ends with a BIG MYSTERIOUS BANG!!!! You gotta keep reading people. You won't want to miss out on this one and the next. Personally, I'm on it.... CHAIN LYNX here I come.

I enjoyed listening to this book on audio, although, I have the book as well. The audio just brings the characters alive with lots of vitality and emotions....

With as engrossed as I was with Weakest Lynx I wasn't as impressed with the followup. The transitions switched abruptly. One minute they would be at Lynx's talking about what they are going to do the next day, then BAM! Without warning it's the next day in the next sentence and I was left wondering how we'd gotten there and would have to double back to make sure I didn't miss anything. All in all I did however enjoy the puzzles and intrigue that are throughout the book. It seems Lynx just can't catch a break. We get a bit of Spyder in this one but not as much as I'd hoped. I still have lingering questions.

Will I continue the series? Yes because I still have questions and although I may not sail through them as I did the first book, I'm still very much intrigued. There is just enough to keep my interest for now. I also skip over the repeated descriptions of her team that we already were told from book 1. This is also done in book 3 Chain Lynx and grinds my gears. Other than that the mystery is what keeps me reading.

This is the seoond book about Lexi (Lynx) Sobado. She is working for Iniquus as a puzzler and is happy to hear Spyder (her surrogate father and mentor) is returning. However, Spyder has to be taken to hospital on arrival and after that is sequestered by Command.

In the meantime Lexi and Striker are trying to figure out what they mean to each other, a dangerous woman moves in next door to Lexi and danger lurks everywhere.

I really enjoyed this book and am impressed with the research. Lexi is a resourceful young woman and sometimes maybe a bit too much. She seems to be good at everything. That does help her when she is kidnapped and thrown into a dark cell abroad. Will Iniquus/Striker come for her? Or is she on her own?
I do wonder why she was not able to help herself more through the 'Veil walking'.

The book ended on a cliffhanger but fortunately I could read the first chapter of the next book as it was inserted as a teaser for the next book. It was a powerful ending, but I do hope the next will not be a cliffie as I would hate to wait long for a solution.

I have already pre-ordered the next book. Kudos again to Ms Quinn!

Lynx has been kidnapped, and being held in a prison. She's starting to loose her mind, and her hope. But when her internal danger alarm starts going off she knows it is time to make a move and try to get out before something worse happens to her.

This book was really good, and really intense. It does end on a cliffhanger though, but that just adds to it. I loved how Lynx was doing her best to get herself free, and how she was willing to help the people there. This was a really good book, and I can't wait to read the next one.

I devoured this book in a matter of days, picking it up every free moment. I started it immediately following the first in the series. I'm pretty addicted to Lexi and Striker and cannot wait to see what happens next. I will be recommending this series to friends, family, and readers of my own novels as well. I'm thrilled to have found a new series and author to love. Keep 'em coming Fiona!

Oh Lexi!

I couldn’t put this book down. I stayed up all night reading it. Sometimes I think things are drawn out a little too much hence only 4 stars. I love this group and the kids and the dogs and the Kitchen Grandmothers. You will need tissues for this one and I’m so glad this series is finished because it ends in a huge cliffhanger.

Thanks Fiona, a great 2nd book in the series. As with the first (WEAKEST LYNX) I thoroughly enjoyed the book. If you like a good mystery, especially with a touch of the supernatural, do yourself a favor and read the LYNX series. I finished all four books in two weeks. Enjoy!

This is the third in the Iniqqus series, and the third book about Lexi Sobado, code name Lynx, who works as "Puzzler" for Iniqqus, elite security company, attached to Strike Force - and Strike Force Commander Striker Rheas in particular. Lexi (Lynx) has many exceptional abilities thanks to her unconventional upbringing and her mentor, Spyder, also an Iniqqus operator. She has very strong psychic abilities. She is kidnapped and thrown into a prison in Honduras where nobody can find her. I don't want to go too much into what happens because of spoiling, but Lexi's psychic abilities are what save her when she is near death through weakness, malnutrition and dehydration. This actually begins a chain of events that began in the first book, Weakest Link, when she received a threatening note on the day of her wedding to Angel, a man she met only three weeks before, and who was deployed to Iraq the morning after. It isn't really necessary to read the entire Iniqqus series in any order, but I strongly suggest going to fionaquinn.com and choosing an order because, except the three short Kate Hamilton stories, then Fear the Reaper (also about Kate and husband) and the three FBI joint task force stories, the rest of the books, up to the K9 series, are in some way connected. I can't recommend this entire series highly enough.

I very much enjoyed this book, and was able to follow book 2 without reading the first book in the series. I did not particularly enjoy the psychic part of Lynx, as it all appeared a bit like witchcraft to me. Also, I skipped over the excessive violence experienced 'behind the veil'. It is my opinion that these incidences did not contribute anything valuable to the storyline.

I generally enjoyed Lynx's character, and how her unconventional upbringing turned her into the person she is in the book. There is a constant flow of information throughout the story, which I enjoyed and which added credibility to some of Lynx's actions. I enjoyed Lynx's relationships with the other men on the team. However, I felt that the story would have benefited from having at least one other strong and prominent female character in the team. Lynx's life cannot be the only spill around which everyone else organizes their lives. It is not healthy or sustainable, in the real or fictional world.

Overall, it was a good book. I was able to spend many enjoyable hours in Lynx's fictional world. I shall try to get hold of the other books, if they are free. But I won't pay money to read the other books in the series.

Not even going behind the veil can save her this time!

I am so glad I found this series, Lynx is such a unique and complex character and with each new book we discover more facets to her skills and abilities but even these are of limited use to her once she is captured.
Her experiences are horrifying, degrading and heartbreaking and although she may waver in captivity, she finds her strength once again and fights back leaving you in awe of just how strong and determined she is.
Technically this ends on a cliff hanger that will leave you shouting 'Noooooo'....but with at least another 3 books available in the series it is not really a true cliff hanger, which you soon realise and with a rush of adrenaline nooo becomes how?
I will say that books 2, 3 and 4 are very closely linked with a plotline running through all three, so it is wise to read them back to back if you can carve that time out...it is well worth it! This series quickly sucks you in and Iniquus becomes strangely addictive.
I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

Good

WARNING! Enormous cliffhanger of the worst kind (life threatening). Luckily the next book is available, so you’ll want it lined up.

Picking up from where book one left off, we find Lexi coming to terms with widowhood, and getting ready to meet up with her second father (of the heart) Spyder. Unfortunately, that doesn’t go quite to plan, and Lexi finds herself having to work with Iniquus without knowing what’s happening with Spyder, or what her role is meant to be.
She does learn a lot, and ends up in considerable danger- which is pretty much where the book leaves us (hence the cliffhanger warning).
On the romance front, she and Striker get a little closer, but it’s a slow burn romance, so don’t expect too much progress.

It’s an exciting read, plenty of confusing situations, plenty of tense ones. Lexi actually does quite a bit with her veil walking techniques here, which allows us to learn a little more about Striker!

An enthralling paranormal thriller/suspense for fans of the series and of the genre.

I couldn't nor did I want to put Missing Lynx down. There's so much going on you'll just keep turning pages to find out what happens next. The special abilities that Fiona Quin gives Lynx lends mystique and credence to her ESP talents e.g. shadow walking, or going behind the veil. That's not to say that Lexi doesn't endanger herself at times when she uses said abilities. As Lexi joins Iniquus and is folded into the Strike Force Team, her friendships with her teammates are more fully explored and we get to know most of them much better. Her relationship with Striker is evolving too but she's convinced she's just not ready to take the next step and leave Angel behind. Things go from bad to worse when she finds herself imprisoned with no way of communicating her whereabouts to her team. She must rely on her own mental and physical abilities to escape. Although she does that's not the end of the story. Be warned, Missing Lynx ends in a cliffhanger.

Missing Lynx is the second book in the Lynx Series by Fiona Quinn. Lexi Sobado, code named Lynx, works for Iniquus as a puzzler. She gets all the data and puts it together so her team can complete their mission. Lexi's mentor comes back to town gravely ill and Iniquus puts Spyder in a safe house and is not allow any communication between Lexi and Spyder. A new neighbor moves in and Lexi seems to remember the woman from Lexi's past. Lexi is close with all her neighbors so when a young woman babysitting one of her neighbors children calls in a panic stating the child has stopped breathing, Lexi puts caution to the wind and puts herself in danger. When Lexi wakes up she appears to be in a prison cell. The days are long with nothing to do and the isolation is getting to Lexi. I loved this book. The story is so action packed it is impossible to cover everything going on in a review. Tighten your seat belt this is a roller coaster ride of action.

Lynx Found

Another heart gripping adventure with talented, mystical and brave Alexis Sobado. Lynx is her call name when undercover for highly touted Iniquus. She's their puzzler, putting together random clues to solve highly confidential crimes. She is not suppose to be a field operative. However, trouble pursues her no matter her attempts to avoid it. Her unusual background, training and paranormal abilities attract stalkers, criminals and other assorted hoodlums. Even with her Iniquus team, Strike Force, protecting her, she still faces danger she can't avoid. She should keep her two highly trained Doberman's with her ALL the time. But she doesn't, so she must suffer through horrendous physical and mental torment. And for a true twist she has to save herself. Will she? Or will her true love, Gavin Rheas (Striker) have to swoop in? Truly this book is a series of amazing adventures that highlight the capable and hypnotic lead female, Lynx.

What to say, what to say. Well, I didn’t know reading this outing would provide a (much needed) sense of satisfaction. Spider, Lexi/Lynx’s mentor, has returned but with severe sickness and Lynx is ordered to keep her distance.

Meanwhile, a new shifter in the neighborhood has Lynx on edge but she does get a chance to show a few of her many, many, many, many, many, many, (etc) talents to try to resolve the neighbor’s connection to Spider and rescue and abused woman and reuniting her with her baby. Striker and Lynx inch toward a romance as she struggles with the loss of her husband months ago.

I’m still on the fence about this subseries, however, the other pieces of Iniquus often refer to events that occur in this series and this reader is a completist.

I didn’t like this book as much. Portions of the story didn’t make sense. I had to reread so many times to understand what was happening. Very frustrating.

The scene with the 2 men who talked when Striker left the room, that whole sequence didn’t make sense. Who were they and what were they trying to pin on him? And how could Treasury take it from there if we didn’t know what they had planned? That whole scene didn’t make sense.

I don’t like Striker very much in this book as he said that he luved her but he treated her like a child. Why would he undress her and then stop himself? It was like he was leading her on and playing with her emotions and her trust.

This author is simply amazing
I cannot say enough about her writing.
I'm loving lynx more and more even though her special talents are perfectly executed in just the right place and time.
I have to say that striker is, in some ways, a beautiful, patient, complex idiot. He constantly hides things from lynx even though she has her gifts.
The relationship between them is developing and this creates the drama and angst in the story.
But the plotline is gripping, If not a tad too far fetched.
In between everyday activities, Fiona infuses the action and it's just go, go, go.
Jesse vilinsky is absolutely awesome
Her accents just breath life into the characters

I enjoyed this second book more than the first because it was so paranormal with out of body psychic experiences that there was no semblance of normality. She is a super woman who can cook, is sexy, and innocent, and kung fu artist, intelligent, etc. Oh yeah, and she can fly planes. The majority of the book Lexy is in prison and I found her daily schedule interesting. The only thing I disliked about it was that the ending was abrupt in her rescue.

I borrowed the audio book from the library. The narrator is okay not the worst and not the best; she does different accents pretty well and even men's voices.

Wonderful series.

I love everything about this series. The heroes are loveable, the protagonists are hateful, and while I’m reading each book I am in a suspended bubble and my reality drifts away and the book’s reality becomes mine. This series will appeal to a large segment of humanity. I am a retired, divorced, mother of two and grandmother of two and 67 years of age. I love this series and as is true of all good books, I want to read slowly to make each book last but also read quickly to see how their lives resolve.

Lynx is the story that keeps you up awake and on edge every step of the way.

Lynx is kidnapped and has to figure how to save herself.. She tries fall seeing, kindness, mind seek, and everything she can think of. She does everything she can to reach the guys but has no idea where to tell them to come. But she isn’t giving up. But then things change and she only has one chance and she takes it. Come along for the ride of your life. Expect tears and heartache along the way as well as love.

4.5 stars for Lexy on her tough mission of being kidnapped and abducted to a place unknown.

Second book in the series. The image that this once in a million vita could be possible and would be extraordinaire has me in it's clutches. I can't stop and enjoy the development of Lynx becoming a real part of h er team, of the growing feelings and trust between Striker and Lynx, the new abilities discovered and the way Lexy works on new ways to use her gifts. I am wrapped up in that story and plan to non stop read straight through them all. Highly recommend.

There is so much going on in this book, that it’s very easy to get caught up in what Lexi’s doing. From rediscovering her mentor to her Iniquus assignments to the pervading feeling of threat that surrounds her, this story takes us on a roller-coaster ride of action and discovery. Mind you, where this book ends is one heck of a cliff-hanger and makes me grateful that I can immediately get my hands on the next one in the series.

Lynx knows something is wrong when she walks into her office building. It takes the whole book to discover what it is. There is plenty of action and mystery and suspense in this page-turner.

Since I started with book 2 of the series, I was worried I might not understand everything. But I was pleasantly surprised to find the story moved along and held my interest. If you love romantic suspense with a paranormal element thrown in, you will love this book.
