So here it is, the best of St. Nick. Here are the famous names ( and what magazine ever boasted more famous names ). Kipling and Howells and sTockton and Lanier and Joel Chandler Harris and Louisa May Alcott and Jack London and Richard Harding Davis and so many others. Here are examples of some of the serials that brought such delight the Peterkin papers and the adventures of Pinky Perkins, and the Brownies, and even some of the incomparable Ralph Henry Barbour, though alas there was no space for a complete Barbour Book.
