It is exactly what it ways. I baked a few recipes from this book and I feel like the outcome was basic but still good. I can see myself using this book as the foundation then amazing my cookies up in their own way. I especially love how in the beginning they clearly spell out simple things for you from what an oven is to mixing techniques. Truly is for beginners which I loved.
