I didn't enjoy this book as much as HEATED. The plot seem to jump all over the place.
HEATED flowed more smoothly. Kade is still in love with his dead wife and all of their memories. He doesn't understand why Garcelle is upset that he treats her like his dirty little secret. Kade will take her to a hotel rather than spend the night at the home he shared with his wife.
Invest in a new house! Kade's entire family likes Garcelle and want him to move on with his life. Even Kade's daughter loves Garcelle. Only Kade feels he is being disloyal to his dead wife. He needs therapy.

This may be the first time e that I don't finish a series. They are a decent t read, but much too formulaic. Just chang the name, then wash, rinse and repeat.

Flames Are Definitely Burning HOT in Holtsville
In the second installment of the Strong Family/Hot Holtsville Series Kade Strong, the eldest brother, fights his attraction and desire for Garcelle Santos, and although he does finally come to love her will they have a life together or will he forever be haunted by the memories of his dead wife, unable to move on and be happy?!!! Ms. Bryant has once again spun a engaging erotic, yet still quite endearing romance. I enjoyed the heated attraction between Garcelle and Kade, and I like the fact that they became friends before they became lovers. The book is definitely a page turner, filled with not only HOT & STEAMY love scenes, but even the dreams are "Hot Like Fire". I thoroughly enjoyed Kadina Strong, she is quite the little charmer. I enjoyed the comments she made to the very aggressive women chasing her dad, and her interaction with Garcelle and the rest of the Strong family, and how she readily encouraged her dad and Garcelle to build a relationship. As usual, Ms. Bryant's characters were quite memorable and had me LOL at their witty dialogue. Can't wait to read about Kaeden Strong and Jade Prince in the next HOT Holtsville Series. Bring it on Ms. Bryant!

Strong! Great series
Strong men, stronger ladies! I'm beginning to enjoy the Strong family that is growing, including the "Kings" and "Santos". Three themes evoked my emotions; 1) mourning 2) craving attention 3) family with strong principles.
" Kade" with love from "Garcelle" learned to love after losing his wife. "Mimi" received the attention she needed from "Bianca's" father to stop acting. And the mother "Lisha" spelled out what family is all about at 86% mark of book.

I’m revisiting the Strong family and Kade is as hot as I remember. He is a widower who is attracted to Garcelle. They go through changes as Kade deals with his guilt about moving on. Things seem to be going smooth until they don’t. Garcelle knows her worth and won’t accept less from Kade. He man’s up and goes to get his woman.

Kade Strong has finally (after 3 yrs) come to the realization that he needs to return to his own home. With his return home comes the need for a caregiver for his daughter and maybe a little protection for all the single ladies in town. He becomes fresh meat to the women of the town and many will do any (I do many anything) and everything to get his attention.
Garcellie is well acquainted with the 'Strong' family. She is a strong young woman that belives in carry her own weight. She works hard at all she does. Becoming the caregiver to young Kadina Strong is not a job to her. Its a pleasure. And if keeping the local rift raft away is part of the job she will do it also.
I found this to be an excellent addition to the Strong Family series. Kade Strong found more than a match for him in the beautiful exotic creature that came to his doorstep. Garcelle Santos has more insight into the grief that Kade is suffering than anyone could possibly understand. She sees the conniving ways of the women that come with fake platitudes. Each one of them looking to be the new Mrs. Strong. Garcelle has something that none of them have. She has a heart of gold and the love of his daughter.

I always enjoy Niobia Bryant's books and it was great revisting the Strong family. I don't even have to read the back of her books before buying. I simply pick up her books as soon as I see her name and know I will be thoroughly entertained and captivated. I wasn't disappointed and I couldn't put it down the only thing I hated was it had to end

Loved it! It was a beautiful story of overcoming grief and finding love. It was funny,tantalizing; and addictive. Finished in less than one day if you add in work, school, parenting. It was probably the second fastest I'd ever finished a book. I can not wait to read the next one!

Read this book in one day!!! Great BOOK!!! Kade just makes you fall in love with him immediately. Garcelle's spunkiness is wonderful! I was reaching for book #3 while I was reading this one's last page.

I've just gotta know...Are all of the editors in the world on strike?!?! The errors in these books go beyond simple typos, and are quite distracting. If not for the grammatical errors, I would have given the book four stars.

This was a great follow up to Heated. Not as hot as kharon's story, but hot in it's own right. Pick this one up, now off to read the 3rd book.
