Yehuda Bauer was a Czech-born Israeli historian and scholar of the Holocaust. He was a professor of Holocaust Studies at the Avraham Harman Institute of Contemporary Jewry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
This book was featured as a display book in relation to a museum exhibit. It was a very interesting and informative read. It definitely changed the way I thought about the history I thought I already understood. It is a wonderful edition to the historiography. It shined a light on a topic that is widely ignored - but probably one of the most important topics of WWII. Instead of focusing so much so on the military side of WWII history it is extremely important to write of the Jewish experience.
