The 15 essays discuss the early and later periods of development of these cities. Contributors include Louis Cullen, Jacinta Prunty, Avril Thomas, Gearoid MacNiocaill and Howard Clarke. Howard Clarke is a co-editor of "The Irish Historic Towns Atlas".
