Civilization is failing in a steady decline. In a last-ditch effort to save themselves, humanity has turned to trying to understand their world even as they seek to protect themselves from the monsters within it. Which is how Evelyn Willock found herself stationed in the farthest northern reaches of the habitable zone and answering the call to investigate a strange sighting in the mines much farther to the north where all other human settlements had failed.
It is no small task. Few will go outside the habitable zone. Fewer still will venture beyond the northern border where the forests grow thick and are filled with innumerable dangers. Stationed where she is, Evie is the best candidate to take on the job. She is familiar with the dangers of the forests.
But in the woods, something new lurks. Wolfish monsters, larger than men, brutal, and terrifying.

The best ragoru story so far
Ragoru is the latest installation in Sanders' dystopian alien universe. In my opinion is the best book of this universe that I have read so far. The story is more coherent and cohesive, with the love story not feeling forced or too fast. However, I would not suggest reading this book before Red even if it was a prequel, since I believe there are many things left answered.
I just hope that the author will make a series and inclued all these stories as well as number them, rather than them being all over the place.

I wasn’t sure about starting this book since I didn’t love Red, the first Ragoru romance, but I enjoyed this one. Evie was a strong woman on a mission and had a natural scientific curiosity about the world that I liked. Thral was the resident grump and needed a lot of affection, even if he didn’t realize it. Sabol was a shit stirrer, and Vrishna was the teddy bear of the group. The world they lived in was dangerous, even for the Ragoru. All of them had to figure out how to rely on one another.

Loved it! I need my own Ragoru triad. Cuddly, possessive, protective monstrous males? Yes, please! ...Not to mention their spicy bonus features.
For anyone who has read the other Ragoru books, or anyone who hasn't, don't hesitate to read this book. I loved it when I read it chapter by chapter on Patreon and loved it even more when I read it as a continuous story. It was a really good origin story and I hope that she keeps going with it and builds the evolution of this alien-shared "Earth" until it connects with the previously existing books' timeline.
For anyone who wants to read the books in chronological order (for the Ragoru universe), the reading order would be:
1) Ragoru
2) White: Emala's Story
3) Huntress
4) Red
5) A Mother's Night Gift

The dynamics in this triad were very different from what you see in the other books and it will be interesting to see if SJ Sanders links that evolution in triad behavior (e.g. only the alpha's "seed" being fertile and the other two going dormant, only the alpha being able to knot, etc.) and the mate bond ceremony (there is a mate bite from the three, but no blood sharing with her) to the interfering/guidance of the Shining Ones, and the inter-mingling with humans.
Having all three be able to knot was 🔥🔥🔥 and the fact that there was more physical pleasure sharing between them all as a group and individually was A+ in my book. I know not everyone likes M/M, so be aware that there is MM in every spicy scene.

Extremely good!
I am not going to give any details about this book, because once I start it would be nothing but spoilers. I really enjoyed this novel! It's a prequel and world builder for a series by Sanders that starts with the novel Syrein. All four of the main characters in Ragoru are very well-developed, the story is presented by the main four characters viewpoints and the reader gets to know their thoughts quite well.
This is a monster RH that features a triad of werewolf looking aliens called the Ragoru. There is a lot of s*x in this book! It starts at 21% in and runs through the end of the book. It is varied s*x between the four of them, meaning that there is M/M action, but totally sexual and not romantic between the guys. It is different and I can't give you details or spoilers will follow! If this didn't have such a wonderful, highly developed sci-fi plot I would actually label this as erotica! Yes, there is that much s*x!
This book is looong! It took me hours to finish it, but I wasn't bored! It's an interesting, entertaining read and I highly recommend it!

SJ really came into a three-book established series and said, “You only THOUGHT you know.” The world building. THE WORLD BUILDING. I can’t; I’m in complete awe of how she managed to weave so much into a prequel. I thought we knew this world, and SJ took me to school!
AND THE ROMANCE. Ugh, I love them. I love all of them.
I need so much more from this series. I never want it to end!

Where can I get myself some Ragoru? I loved this sci fi monster story! The Ragoru beasts are so cool. Alien wolfish beasts with four arms, four eyes and two, yes two, dongs. Both serve different purposes and are slightly different too. Gimme. I need it. The triad: Sabol, Thral and Vrishna had such fun dynamics and *interactions*. The banter was chefs kiss. Evie is such a cool FMC too! Really enjoyed her character as well. I’m not wild about third person POV however so I found myself dragging at times but there was excellent spice and drama to bridge those moments.

3.5 stars: I thought that the premise itself is quite good and there certainly was an engaging plot aside from the romance though I did expect more turmoil with everything taking place and the suspicious decisions of those in charge.
There is plenty of heat here, so if you are in that type of a mood, this might be just the right story for you. Although I did like the book, the intimate scenes were a tad too many for my liking. I am a mood reader, so it might just be the case where I am more inclined towards complexity and depth at the moment in regards to the plot whereas here, things were more focused on the physical aspects of the connection between the characters .
Hope other readers enjoy the story, it is a good one despite my personal experience with it.

Started off good, middle was falling off, ending was chaotic and not in the good way.
I'm just shocked about the double dicks x3. I didn't realize this was why choose?? How did I not know that going in haha.
I don't think I'd continue this just because the end was just not good, but I was entertained!

The Origins of Ragoru
It was so interesting to see where the Ragoru came from and how things started. The first time one set their eyes on a human female and vice versa. I love all the books in the Ragoru series some more than others for sure, but this was a really good one. Just a heads up this is one of the Ragoru romances that has mm in it, tastefully explicit mm I must add.
I wasn’t shocked that it happened, as Huntress also has some mm but I was shocked at the pacing lol. I’m going to be honest and say I wasn’t a fan of it in Huntress because it felt like the men loved one another more than her, and that was super triggering for me, but this one I was okay with because it’s clear they love Evie and I didn’t feel like they felt more for each other than her. But I will say the mm in this one does go from 0-100 real quick and it was pretty early on the book so be prepared for that.
Evie is like me Forreal, kind of just going with the flo. She accepted her being stalked by a werewolf alien pretty well and I admire her for that really. Also she was a bad ass who seemed to be in her element and knew how to take care of herself even without her males. Speaking of them, I adored all the male Ragorus in this one. None them really ticked me off, they were all sweet and spicy furry males lol. The way they took care of Evie and got attached to her, made me swoon. It was definitely more insta love in this particular Ragoru story, but still enjoyed it nonetheless!! it was also interesting to see what a shining one looked like, and how the world was prior to the other Ragoru stories. I’ve missed this series so much and can’t wait for Warrioress.

Amazing prequel this author never disappoints💖
In this book we finally have some back story on who the Ragoru are where they come from.We also find out how humans end up on the planet and how they end up losing all the technology of their ancestors. They also learn how the huntsmen take over. Evie, Thral, Vrishna, and Sabol come together in this first story of the Ragoru. Evie is a scientist she lives on a remote outpost because most people annoy her! She's asked to investigate rumors of horrible deaths at an even more remote outpost further north. While on her journey north she's meets Sabol and can't believe that a being like him exists. Then Thral and Vrishna show up and her world completely changes. Sabol escapes those who have brought him to this world. He tired of waiting and wants to find a mate and territory to call his own when he sees Evie he knows she's the one. But he torn he can't take care of her alone. Thrall and Vrishna follow in Sabol's footsteps and escape from the camp she. They smell Evie and Sabol they know they've found their one, The one to make their life complete. through danger , cultural differences and a love that transcends all barriers these unlikely being come together and discover that love knows no bounds! Reminder that 3 stars means I liked this/enjoyed it!
The authors world building is always impressive! Each story is so unique and so much thought was put into this.
This was a smutty masterpiece. It was MMMF...and MMFM...and MFMM...and FMMM. Lol. Every combination you can think of. Each mmc has 2 penises so there were times when there were many penises involved and lots of sloppy moments in the best kinda way. There were epilogue children but this wasn't really focused on breeding which was nice. There was a lot of knotting and a pleasure cock/breeding cock.
Also I really liked the last part of the book in the lab/caves! I could read a whole book set there. It was so creepy, all the mutant humans chasing Evie through the caves and then into the lab with all the test subjects. Very creepy and I loved it and wanted more.
I'm very very lenient with my books when it comes to spelling mistakes etc but this one seemed to have quite a bit. And then sometimes it felt like the wrong word was used I guess? But that didn't bother me. This was hot and I loved that all the mmcs interacted with each other as well as the fmc. Like she would be having sex with one mmc and the other 2 would be having sex with each other. Lots of ⚔ sword crossing

before the end of it all…
4.5 / 5.0 there was a beginning. This is the prequel to the other Ragoru stories by Sanders, and it is low key disturbing how it incorporates the way currently in the USA, people turn from science and logic towards fear-mongering propaganda. This is fiction, but you can draw parallels to the real ways religion and lies are being used to control masses of people towards hate.
The story is good, the characters make fewer decisions that stem around miscommunication then previous books, and it sets us on the course leading to the next few books. I enjoyed knowing about the ways all the races came to be on the planet, how the attempts as colonization were met with environmental obstacles, and how greed leads to the loss of technology and development. It also shows us how an advanced civilization can be reduced to the Dark Ages equivalent in just a few generations.
SciFi, post apocalyptic, fantasy with a hint of contemporary politics all wrapped up in a RH with fantastic smut. Oh, I should mention that this is a MMFM and everyone is intimate with everyone else. It is highly readable and I recommend it along with the other Ragoru books by Sanders.

Been a while since I've read a RH and I enjoyed this one a lot. I always appreciate it when everyone loves and wants each other. Sure, they all wanted Evie but they also cared for each other a lot too.
Sometimes I found the narrative to be a little info dumpy while not really knowing the full picture. I think this is because this book is set before the previous books and I started in the middle of a series (book 4), that's my bad. Also, I listened to this as an audiobook and honestly the male narrator kinda sucked. One of the mates voices sounded exactly like a grandpa/old man and it really took me out of the story at times because it was weird lol

Very good
This was a very good story filled with action, suspense, laughter and love. There's plenty of yummy aliens and even if you have never read any other books this author has written about the Rogarou, this is definitely one you could jump into and even start here with no confusion. I really loved Evie and kind of hope there's some stories of her children or maybe ones from her time where we get to see her again as a secondary character. I would also love stories about the other possible aliens trying to have a second chance living on this world. I also really like that while this story has some alien, sci-fi, dark and even dystopian ish themes there's still some light hearted need to it. This story also has some very hot spicy times and romance that grows with the story. It's a very good book wether these aliens are new to you or not and ends on a great HEA. Would recommend.

Evie is a strong and confident character. I admired her tenacity for peace and community. The Ragoru are a species that need togetherness and I think they lost that until they found Evie. The parasite and the order have added hostility to their growing communities. I hope we see more of how everything has progressed.

Killer origins story could not put it down.
I love the Ragoru, so it was so great to see where they originated from and how this whole society came about with the humans.
Wonderful world-building and characters. I completely adore this series and highly recommend it!

Origin story of the Ragoru and humans on the planet. Great world building, story. Loved everything about it. Can’t wait for more in this world. Secretly smiled at the Easter eggs for previous books too. Of course lots of smexy times, this author brought the heat🌶🌶🌶, and all the knotting and slick without the Omegaverse.

Spoilers, because there are certain things that need to be addressed here that will probably ruin the book for a few if not forewarned, so read at your own risk.
Right, well with that out of the way, can I just say; what the fuck was going on with the inconsistency in this book?
In the first few chapters, everything flows well, makes sense, and reads organically. Actions, thoughts and dialogue makes sense and even the info dump of certain Lore is tolerable.
Then, it suddenly shifts and there’s inconsistency in everything.
Evelyn’s (the FMC) entire personality is pretty much 180’d after she meets Sabol (one MMC (who is just thrown into the story out of nowhere)), and isn’t nearly concerned enough about the fact that she’s in the presence of an alien predatory species in the middle of a dangerous forest.
Two inconsistencies then present themselves quickly here over the next two chapters. One; Sabol describes that he’s learning her language in order to communicate with her. It literally says that he practices at night, to pronounce words he overhears her saying. THEN, when they go to communicate for the first time, that tidbit is thrown out and he suddenly has a translator implant???? It’s the first time it’s mentioned in the story too and completely voids Sabol’s whole ‘learning her language’ thing AND all the bullshit prior to their first conversation. I mean seriously, if he could communicate with the implant the whole time then WHY DIDN’T HE!?
The second inconsistency was in the same section, where Evelyn had no knowledge of what he was or any of his background, yet she referred to him by his alien species name as if she knew this information. The whole thing made no sense whatsoever considering she should not have had any of this knowledge; this was FIRST CONTACT.
Now, I chose to ignore these first issues, hell; I was ignoring the obvious literacy errors that were in every single chapter thus far, so a few inconsistencies were easy enough to push past for the sake of a good story.
But then, at 33% in, I felt the first true ‘ick’ with this book.
Sabol had been joined by Thral and Vrishnal (oh yeah, I should probably just point out here that this book is a RH with multiple males who have on page sex with eachother and not just the FMC. It’s not advertised though so when it happens, it can be a bit confusing so… heads up I guess?), and they were doing a whole ‘Grr me male so me the boss’ bullshit that some people get off to. BUT, it pissed me the fuck off and gave me a genuine visceral reaction of disgust.
For context; Sabol and Evelyn had been travelling together for some time at this point. They were developing a relationship with eachother and there was a measure of trust. Sabol had not once been a brute, not once forced himself onto her, and had spent the entire time understanding that she was another species and therefore wasn’t going to just ‘go along’ with HIS kids ways. SABOL was respectful at this point on the book and had been treating her as such, never taking her autonomy away from Evelyn.
Then along comes Thral and Vrishnal with their absolutely disgusting caveman dominating bullshit, all ‘she will obey because we know what’s best for her’ and it immediately made me dislike them. They had genuinely only just fucking met her too.
Oh and it never goes away either. I had hoped that as the story progressed and the relationship developed, that they would see Evelyn as an equal who was allowed to do as she pleased because she was a person and not a possession but NOPE.
In one chapter, the girl gets excited to see a building and rushes forward, only to be chased down and plucked from the ground like she’s an unruly toddler, scolded for taking a few steps without permission.
And SHE JUST TOOK THAT!
Like WTF!? Where did the independent, sassy redhead go? Where did the fierce woman who enjoyed her solitude and took care of herself go? She became a bloody doormat!
Man, I could go ON in length at how imbalanced and disingenuous the relationship is between these four, but let us move on to the story itself before I start losing my mind.
So; Evelyn is sent to a far off mining village to investigate claims of a ’strange creature’. And at first I think “okay, fair enough” when the explanation as to why it’s her that gets sent off, but then I think “why the fuck did they send her?” When it’s later revealed that boats travel to the mining village all the time as a part of the supply line…. Soooo why the fuck did she get sent then? Why not send a team of professionals or at least better armed people via boat? Well, I guess if the author did that then we would have no story but still, INCONSISTENT.
Now the journey itself was ridiculous, the reasons for a-lot of the things each character did was flimsy at best. They faced no actual dangers despite her insistence that they were in a dangerous place and most of the journey was just the MMC’s whining over how they couldn’t fuck the FMC because she wasn’t willing. Boo-hoo.
More convenient stuff happens, all summarised into a great big ‘why the hell is this conversation happening’ moment, there’s like four or five chapters of inconsistent dialogue and mental processes that really don’t make sense because they just end up having a very nothing conflict that ultimately results in… well… nothing.
Then they get to the end destination and lo and behold, there’s a convenient conflict character who exists solely because… well actually, I don’t think they really needed to exist because they contributed nothing overall to the storyline.
See, (HEAVY SPOILERS NOW, JUST FYI),
Evelyn and her furry fuckboys were all heading to the coordinates to investigate the ’creature’ anyway. So they would have stumbled upon the cave system and, ultimately, the Facility anyway. The pursuit, her falling down the hole, all of that bullshit was unnecessary. They would have found the Facility and its contents anyway, without having the pointless Huntsman dude.
But nope, we had to have the Huntsman be an issue that wasn’t actually an issue really. Oh and then the other alien guy shows up, for no other point than to… info dump on them? I’m still unsure why it was necessary for him to be there, when all of what he told Evelyn, he could have told the Ragoru from the get go and saved a whole bunch of time and complications.
Anyway, it doesn’t really matter at the end of the day because nothing ever fucking comes of it.
The Facility, the parasites in the water, the fact that there are different kinds of ‘infected’ roaming the lands? Yeah all of that is never mentioned again.
The Alien dude and his species strange breeding program that was the reason humans and other species were put on the planet? That too, is never mentioned again.
As a matter of fact, almost everything you learn about the world, the history, the Lore, becomes irrelevant. No narrative point is kept. We don’t even hear about the mining village and what happens with the death of the human there.
Evelyn just goes back to her secret house and lives happily ever after with her controlling boyfriends and creates a little village with others in equally controlling relationships and…. That’s it. We get some time-skips, a look at the oppressive conditions that the humans place upon themselves, a glimpse at the lies that they weave to control the population in the future books and a prelude to a future descendant that is in a different book and that’s how the story ends.
Part of me wants to read the following books just to learn if anything comes of the parasites in the water and the infected, but honestly, after the way this book was made, I have very little faith in it actually delivering on that.

I think the author uploaded the rough draft version of this story instead of the edited version. Soooooo many wrong or missing words. It was bad.
The story itself was also very simple with almost no conflict. The h was immediately into aliens shed never heard of before. She slept with one for the flimsiest of reasons, and continued to move though a rather weak story. Still it did set up the back story for the series so that was nice.
Time moved weirdly in this story. Too much "many generations later" made it hard to track time.
Overall not the authors best work, but fans of the series will still want to read it. Though I hope the edited version is uploaded soon.

1⭐️ i can finally say that i completely finished a polyamory romance from the start and finish.

Why have just ONE furry alien when you could have THREE??

She receives a request to investigate a strange animal sighting in one of the mining settlements. She sets off alone across the wilderness to carry out her orders. Along the way, she is stalked by a wolfish humanoid creature. They begin to interact, and Evie realizes the creature is sentient and protecting her.
Sabol slipped away from the group during a Ragoru hunting expedition and is content as a lone Ragoru. He encounters a human female, and he must possess and protect her, especially from other Ragoru who may be in the area.
Thral and Vrishna escaped from the Ragoru containment and have been wandering the wilderness for weeks. They catch scent of Sable and Evie, and are determined to create a Triad, a family group with 3 males and 1 female.
Will the group find common ground? Will Evie be able to continue her mission with a group of obsessed aliens set on guarding her? Are there dangers on this planet that even the great Ragoru cannot defeat?
This was an exciting and interesting alien/monster romance.
Evie has encountered all kinds of wild animals and plants in her work. She does not seem to be alarmed in the slightest about the big and furry aliens who want to mate with her, despite their wolfish appearance, 4 arms, 4 eyes, sharp teeth and 2 cocks!! In fact, she rolls with it all a little too easily, if you ask me. She just jumps into 3 ways and multiple penetrations with seemingly no hesitation. I would have appreciated a better inner monologue of our FMC which delved into her motivations and worked through the physical, emotional or ethical dilemmas associated with coupling with a triad of primitive aliens. The Ragoru were so kind and accepting of each other and their human female. The quintessential "Cinnamon Roll" MMCs.
The spice was out of this world. MMFM combinations of every kind imaginable, x2 due to the alien anatomy! There was excitement with the mysterious predator plot and the militant faction called the Hunters.
I didn't know that we were looking at a reverse harem going into the book, as the cover art has one alien on it, not three. Also, I originally had this categorized as a monster romance, and I stand by this classification. I will add Alien and SciFi to the mix, though, because the setting is a foreign planet and the Ragoru are a species alien to it.
There were elements of one of my other favorite books Transcendence, which had a primitive MMC and futuristic FMC. Ultimately, Evie sacrificed modern amenities, human interaction and technology to help the Ragoru colonize the planet.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to further books about the Ragoru! Apparently, there are 8 other books already published. LOL. OK, my TBR is filling up now!

Overall I was surprised by how much I liked this book. The storyline is good, and drew me in so that I wanted to know what happened; the plot point that starts the FMC on her journey, as well as the villains connected to it are believable to the story and are well done. The three Ragoru are a bit more complex than I expected, and I liked their dynamic.
I loved the M/M aspects of this book, and also how the author wrote the spicy scenes between the four characters. The relationship between the three Ragoru is super satisfying and believable, and there were times I actually felt like the FMC was out of place, honestly.
I liked the FMC at the beginning, but the more I got into the story, my opinion of her changed. At first she seemed like an intelligent, sensible scientist. She doesn't insta-love the first MC she encounters, and there was some objectivity from her about him, as you would expect of a scientist. But then the author just squashes all of that away. We get a lot of "this world has so many dangerous, carnivorous plants that will kill you", and the FMC even goes on several rants about how her Ragoru need to be careful, then a few paragraphs later she's running through the forest willy-nilly without a care at all to any of the aforementioned dangerous plants. After the halfway mark the FMC just seemed really wishy-washy and mentally weak - like her character suddenly existed only to continue the story for the Ragoru (not entirely a drawback since I wanted more of them for sure).
There were a few errors throughout the book which were annoying, like misspelling the FMCs name or poor grammar that made sentences feel clunky to read. The ending fell a little flat for me as well, again, due to the FMC feeling very "I'm only here because I was at the beginning and didn't die".
Lots of promise, and the smut was pretty good.

We get a lot of "this world has so many dangerous, carnivorous plants that will kill you", and the FMC even goes on several rants about how her Ragoru need to be careful, then a few paragraphs later she's running through the forest willy-nilly without a care at all to any of the aforementioned dangerous plants. After the halfway mark the FMC just seemed really wishy-washy and mentally weak - like her character suddenly existed only to continue the story for the Ragoru (not entirely a drawback since I wanted more of them for sure).
There were a few errors throughout the book which were annoying, like misspelling the FMCs name or poor grammar that made sentences feel clunky to read. The ending fell a little flat for me as well, again, due to the FMC feeling very "I'm only here because I was at the beginning and didn't die".
Lots of promise, and the smut was pretty good.

What a great story about an alien race brought to a post apocalyptic world. If you have read some of the other books about the Ragoru then you will be familiar with this world, the culture, and these aliens. This book is a prequel and gives us the history of the Ragoru and how they came to be on this world. Evie is a scientist who is stationed in the forest and records and researches her surroundings. When she is assigned to visit a village a long journey away she is a little shocked. It was reported that something strange was sighted and they wanted her to check it out. As she makes this journey she catches the attention of a Ragoru. He is not the only unmated Ragoru that stumbles upon her though. The three Ragoru and Evie decide to stay together and head to this mysterious sighting. I loved Evies character so much. She was both soft and fierce. I really liked that she was headstrong and willing to fight for what she wanted but also basked in the possessive and protective Ragorus. The four of them worked so well together. This book has fluff, action, knotting, sword crossing, and lots of growling! If you are looking for a book with a great plot, charming characters, and some nice steamy scenes then definitely check this out!

an amazing ending
The beginning felt a little rocky getting everything set up, but the last half of the book was A++++.
Sanders once again delivered on the politics and world building of this story. They take advantage of the HEA that being in the romance genre guarantees by making the drama more about how the world will react to the romance. They get the reader invested in how everything will play out for the world/society at large, and that is right up my alley. 😍
I love Sanders’s sci-fi. Every book I read of theirs I can see the seams between the romance and sci-fi genres being smoothed out.
The ending was heartwarming and actually made me tear up. I read this on a whim. Just saw Sanders’s name and said hell yeah. 😂 Now I’ve gotta hunt down the other book(s?) to know what happens next.
Gonna give this a 7/10. I think the first half of the book doesn’t flow as well as it could. The introductions between main characters are a little clunky, and the reader definitely has to suspend some disbelief, but the last half of the book delivers. 🤌🏼✨

Was really enjoying the story until about 38% in when the fmc literally was just talking about dangerous plants and then proceeds to go running in the woods toward a dwelling without even thinking about the killer plants like really 😪😂. I'll continue to read on but that's already a half point/star deduction for me 😂.
Now at 43% I'm starting to dislike the fmc. She was likable in the beginning now she's just being stupidly annoying to me 😪.
I enjoyed the book just the fmc was a little to wishy washy and mentally weak imo. It just kinda got annoying. But all in all I liked the spicy scenes and I liked the world building/plot it took me a while to get into the book but once I was pulled in I was pulled in. Also for the peeps out there who like first person reads this isn't for you. Anywho I'd rate it a 3.5 rounded up to a 4.

After 35% in, I’m giving it a one star due to grammatical mistakes which I just couldn’t really handle. Normally my brain will fix it and it did but noticing it was annoying me. Also Evie was *very* okay with just getting ducked by Sabol after he said Vrishna and Thral were pursuing them…. Interesting… what if he had been lying, Evie? I don’t think she’s a very smart person for being a scientist. I can’t remember if she’s a scientist but she collects data.

So SJ Sanders was a completely new to me author. And I guarantee this will not be the last time I read a story of hers. It was wonderful. There were some parts that seemed a little wordy as she was describing the politics of the world they now live on. But it didn’t bother me as I was able to still grasp where Evie was coming from when it came to the politics she was dealing with.
And once the males were introduced everything went so smoothly. There was chemistry, there was character development, and there were dangers they were figuring out as they went along. Thral, Sabol, and Vrishna were just the most wonderful of men. Willing to be patient, willing to learn from their mistakes, and so willing to share affection amongst all of them. There is some mm action, just in case they bothers you.
This was a fantastic read and I look forward to reading about more of this world and how the generations turn out.
