An Englishman's Home: The Adventures of An Eccentric Gardener

Rate this book
The entertaining story of the ambitious World Garden project at Lullingstone Castle in Kent — an attempt to establish a collection of plants from every continent — currently being documented in a twelve-part BBC series. It’s a riveting story of English eccentricity in full bloom.

It was fun to read the adventures of Tom, from "The Cloud Garden", while designing THE WORLD GARDEN at his home, near London.
Good reading, very amusing and entertaining, but for garden lovers only!
Next step... to visit the garden!

I'm not a gardener myself, but I found a fair amount of amusement in the author's adventures and in his attempts to right his life.
