Now I’m invited to the wedding and finding myself wondering why I shut myself away from the world for so long.
I’m only meant to be at the Wilder Retreat for a single day except I go home with not only a job offer, but the promise of something more.

I loved watching Aurora and Ridge navigate their newfound attraction to one another while carefully guarding their hearts. They had great chemistry and they were respectful of the other's loss.

The narration of this book is beautifully done by Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor. It felt like I was right there with them as things played out, and their chemistry oozed through the speakers.

Carrie Ann Ryan has done a fabulous job with the Wilder Brothers and with the addition of the Wilder Cousins, we are getting even more of the Wilder Men and the Smart and Sexy Women they call theirs. This was a great addition to the series. After losing her husband a few years ago I can only imagine the pain writing this book caused Carrie Ann Ryan, I am hoping that it also helped her heart heal a little bit as well.

All in all it was a good read, rating it between 3.5 and 4 stars. The setting was this beautiful resort with different areas for weddings, retreats, spa, winery, etc…. The story was sad with both main characters working through trauma and drama from their past (and there was a lot of it), but it all came together in the end.
I liked the characters, although there were many of them and I had to reread certain parts to get a better understanding of who is who. I was left wanting a bit more though honestly, so it could all come together better as a whole for me. The cliffhanger also almost made me through the phone.

ARC Review!

This is the seventh book in 'The Wilder Brothers' series, and let me tell you, there are a lot of characters to keep track of! While it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend starting from book one to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

Aurora, a grieving widow, stumbles upon a cry for help from a bride whose dress was stolen. Thinking of giving the dress a new story, Aurora travels to the Wilder retreat to deliver it. Meeting so many new people there, she realises she's ready to embrace life again and even receives a job offer doing something she loves.

Ridge Wilder, a widower with a painful secret, oversees security at the retreat. When he meets Aurora, he starts to feel emotions long forgotten. As they connect, both find comfort and solace in each other.

Despite their heartbreaking pasts, their journey towards a future together is heartwarming, and it was great to see that after so much time, they can find love again.

While it was challenging to keep up with all the Wilder brothers, cousins and their partners, I'm definitely hooked on this series and eager to read more. And with all the vast personalities, there's never a dull moment. It gives small-town vibes because of the family all working and living at the retreat, making the whole setting feel like is a dreamy tight-knit community.

I have read a lot of CAR books by now, and she keeps getting better. The thing is she doesn’t even need to improve, (the lowest I’ve rated is 4 stars) but each book keeps touching me more, on a personal level.
My heart went out to both Ridge and Aurora as they struggled to move on after a tragic loss. They were both so strong, especially having to deal with the hateful relatives. I could feel their love for each other which makes me so happy when I read.
I’d love to see Eliza a bit more in these books if possible. The way the guys talk about her, any interactions she’d have with her brothers/cousins would be a sight to see.

Thank you to Carrie and her team for the arc. It is much appreciated and this is my honest review.

I was surprised at how touching I found this one. Something about a woman giving up her wedding dress to another bride was just very heartwarming. And then once on Wilder land to attend the wedding, there’s no escaping, lol.

Two women connected by a single wedding dress. When Aurora hears a bride needs a last minute wedding dress on the anniversary of the day she lost her own husband, she takes it as a sign that it is time to begin to pull herself out of the grief she has been surviving in. One single act brings her into contact with the Wilders, as they are the coordinators trying to help one of their brides find her perfect replacement gown.

Ridge Wilder is hiding a secret pain from even those closest to him. No one knows the reason he really returned to the resort to work so closely with his cousins and brothers. He thinks he hides it but when he meets the woman donating her dress to their next bride, he finds himself drawn to her pain in a way he doesn’t quite understand except that he understands it.

Everyone knew Aurora’s heartbreak and were so sensitive to making sure she was comfortable with every step of the way. But Ridge’s pain burned behind the wall he had erected around his heart, until Aurora’s presence had him considering whether he could truly put the past behind him.

I loved the way these two helped each other heal. Even as the whirlwind of wedding plans circled around them, they found peace in each other that no one else could understand. But their newfound peace is threatened when Aurora is mugged and though it is ruled random, something about it doesn’t feel as random as it should.

Once again, returning to the Wilder Resort felt like a combination of going home and going on vacation. I wish this place truly existed (maybe without the paparazzi and creepers who seem to show up though!). Ridge is the first of the cousins to get his own book and I couldn’t help but fall in love with the way the family circled when he revealed the secrets he had been keeping from them all. Carrie Ann Ryan writes family sagas like no one else. I love the way everyone rallies and challenges each other, protects and pushes each other, like the perfect version of family we all strive to be. I can’t wait to jump back into this world for more from this family.

Aurora, who is named after a Disney princess, is one of the most selfless individuals alive. After tragically losing her husband, five years ago, and then having her entire life fall apart, she answers the instagram post of a bride who's wedding dress was stolen. Aurora has wonderful memories from her wedding day in her dress and hopes this bride can create her wonderful own memories in the dress.

Ridge and his brothers purchased the land adjacent to their cousins resort in order to start their own distillery. All four of the Wilder cousins are fighting demons and Ridge is no exception. He has been keeping a secret from his family for the past two years. A secret that has been tearing him apart, the death of his girlfriend and unborn child.

Even though Aurora has kept mostly to herself since the death of her husband she has never let herself become bitter and hateful. I fell madly and deeply in love with Aurora and rooted for her success. I adore that once she was given an opportunity as pastry chef at Wilder Resort her focus was set on bettering herself, Ridge was a fortunate bonus in her new life. Don't get me wrong, she was attracted to him and wanted to be with him but if he moved on from her she was set on moving forward with her new job and friends. Her happiness was not dependent on a man. Having a mother who was widowed at the young age of 24 I find that on some level this story was completely relatable to me.

I really enjoyed the first introduction to the Wilder cousins and am excited for the next installment.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Where do I start, I usually do not cry this much for a book. There is a lot of emotion in this one and two souls that need to heal. I absolutely loved the story and meeting the first Wilder cousin, the story of Aurora and Ridge, and I am glad we are continuing in the Wilder Ranch world.

I feel privileged to see Aurora and Ridge not only live life after grief but get a second chance at love.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Moments For You by Carrie Ann Ryan is book 7 in The Wilder Brothers Series. This is the story of Aurora Lee and Ridge Wilder. Both Aurora and Ridge had lost their partner in life. Neither I think thought that they would find someone else to love but fate has a way of making things happen. Enjoyed this book.

Ok wow, I have to say I did not see any of that coming! Carrie Ann Ryan always manages to blow my mind and I am not sure why I was surprised that when she added a new branch of the Wilder family, she’s done it again, but I kind of was. This story I know was a difficult one for her to write and probably hit close to home in a lot of ways, but at the same time it seems like a story that was just begging to be told. Two people that have both lost someone so important in the worst of ways finally get a second chance at love and find one another at the perfect time for the both of them to move on with their lives together, even if neither of them are ready to admit it. Aurora is slowly digging herself out of the grief and pain of losing her husband and the future they thought they would have, when she finds herself pulled into the world of the Wilders in the most unlikely of ways. She knows that offering her help will offer a semblance of healing, but she never imagined how much it would change her life, and that it would shape her into a new person in the best of way. Ridge Wilder joined his cousins in their crazy venture, pulling his brothers in, because he needed to escape the trauma of losing his pregnant girlfriend in a tragedy that he felt responsible for. He has kept the darkness inside, not sharing with even his brothers and the grief has festered into a wound that doesn’t seem to be healing. When he meets the incomparable Aurora, they are instantly drawn to one another, though they both resist at first, but son the chemistry and passion is too much for either of them to deny. As they begin to get closer and closer to one another, a darkness from the past comes to stalk them and threatens any chance of them having a future if they can’t get over their fears and find a way to embrace their second chance at love and their moment to be together.

Moments for You truly is a story of finding not only a chance at love again, but finding yourself again after the grief has swamped you so much you lose yourself in the dark. Aurora has been fighting her way back from that darkness, backsliding some, but never giving up on living again, as she tries to honor the love she shared with her man. Her bravery, strength, love, sweetness, and backbone, certainly remind of her creator and I enjoyed getting to know her; I also loved how she slipped right into the wilder family, finding her niche and finally finding her happy place again bother personally and professionally. Ridge was a broken alpha male for sure, enigmatic in his pain, hiding secrets from the very people he needed to share with, until it finally was no longer something he could hide from. I was so terrified he would lose his chance with Aurora but allowing his fears to rule him, but luckily with the help of his family he found the way to be just what she needed and managed to used his strength, love, and protectiveness to keep her safe, happy, and show she made the right choice in loving him. The passion between these two was obvious to us, even as they tried to hide from it, but the love that slowly blossomed between them as they healed from their pasts was even more beautiful. I am dying to see more of them in future novels and cannot wait to see what comes next as the Wilder boys deal with the pain and trauma that sent them to their cousins and will bring them back together as a family. Carrie Ann Ryan has a way about her, like a doctor lancing emotional wounds to allow the infection to release so they can be healed, and there are so few authors out there today who manage it with such skill. As always, I’m humbled to have had the chance to read her latest installment in the Wilder series.

This new addition to this series was a good read and a good addition to the series. Where this stand alone addition is not about one of the original Wilder brothers this book is the start of a set of Wilder cousins that are now part of the Wilder Ranch setting. Don't worry though, most of the original characters from the series do make appearances in this new addition along the course of this story.

In this addition, Ridge and Aurora have their story told. Full disclosure, both main characters have suffered from some severe loss and are rather damaged - rightfully so. Ridge has come to Texas to start over with his brothers and they have joined the original Wilder brothers in their business. He has kept a two year secret from his brothers who know that there is something wrong with Ridge but are unaware as to what. Ridge is the victim of a mass shooting where he lost what he thought was the love of his life but also his unborn child. He has suffered with the feeling of inadequacy of not being able to protect them and has been determined not to fall in love again until Aurora entered his life.

Aurora, widower for the last five years after the death of her husband during an MVA is struggling with her grief and just being able to survive after getting shunned by her in-laws whom she worked for. She learns of a bride in need of a dress and decides to donate her wedding dress as a first step in moving on in her grief. What she did not expect was to meet Ridge and then land a job doing what she loved on the ranch.

The pair connected on the ranch in an instant love kind of way. They had similar experiences so they were aware on some level what the other was going through. Both Ridge and Aurora were well written characters that had chemistry. I enjoyed the return of the characters from the previous books in this series. What I didn't like was that when Aurora's sister in law confronted her she was so full of anger and malice but then all of a sudden after threatening to make Aurora's life more miserable she had sought help, apologized and then wanted to reconnect. That exchange seemed not only sudden but a little unbelievable. Also, I still don't understand why all of Ms Ryan's books have a dramatic ending of some sort where someone experiences some kind of injury ending in all characters at a hospital or in imminent danger. How do all of the characters find themselves in such life threatening situations??

In the end, I did enjoy this book. I also have enjoyed this series even with my issues and would recommend to others.

Welcome back to Texas and the Wilders. While all of Eliza’s brothers have gotten their happily-ever-afters, now it’s on to their cousins.

Luckily—these guys, their names all start with different letters…Eliza’s parents thought it was cute to name all their children with the same letter—E.

Moments for You is Ridge & Aurora’s story—and it takes place about two years after the end of ‘Finding the Road to Us’. So—if you haven’t read Elliot’s story…stop right here, unless you don’t mind a few ‘spoilers’.

Finding the Road to Us ended with a Wilder family reunion—plus an uninvited guest—a tornado.

The Wilder cousins decided to take everyone up on their offer of ‘relocating’, they bought some adjacent land, and the Wilder Winery & Resort, now also includes a distillery and bar—plus the spa and restaurant.

Ridge joins the group as part of the security team—even though he’s part ‘owner’ in everything (just like Trace now is)…and he’s there to try to escape his past (one that he hasn’t even told his siblings about).

Aurora is working at putting her life back together after car wreck claimed her husbands life, and left her injured. Responding to a post on Instagram brings her to the Wilder resort…and while she was only suppose to be there for the weekend…she’s a pastry chef…and guess who had just ‘quit’…the latest pastry chef.

Ridge and Aurora gravitate towards each other…possibly as two wounded souls recognizing each other? They start off as friends, and their relationship progresses. Soon, though Ridge is faced with the past he was trying to escape…and comes clean to Aurora—who then urges him to open up to his brothers.

Can they navigate a new future together? Or will Ridge’s past come between them? Find out in Moments for You—the seventh installment in the Wilder Brothers series by Carrie Ann Ryan. Meet up with old friends, as most of Ridge’s cousins and siblings pop in and out of the pages and see how well they were able to rebuild following the tornado that didn’t have reservations.

Moments for You will be available at all online spaces on April 22, 2024. If you haven’t read any of the previous Wilder books…that’s okay—this is a great one to ‘dip’ your toes in as you meet a loving, and loud family. Plus—there are six other books to binge read to find out the backstory of all of Ridge’s cousins (technically seven—Eliza’s story is Inked Obsession (Montgomery Ink: Fort Collins #2), and even more series to binge when you jump into the Montgomery Ink world.

Never Stop Believing!!!

Ridge Wilder, one of the Wilder Brothers' cousin whom we've met in the previous book ( FINDING THE ROAD TO US ). He lost his wife and child and decided to give up on ever finding love again. He and his three siblings, Gabriel, Wyatt and Brooks decided to move to be closer to their cousins and help them rebuild the Wilder Brothers Retreat and Winery after a natural disaster nearly destroyed everything they've built.

Fast forward two years later, he was now working as a security specialist alongside his cousin-in-law, Trace. He never imagined he would meet a beautiful and talent woman who would chance his life forever.

Aurora Lee, a widow who'd lost her late husband, William in an accident. When a bride at the Wilder Retreat and Winery was in need of a wedding dress to marry the love of her life after an evildoer did her and others wrong. She offered the bride-to-be the dress she'd wore to her own wedding. It was as if fate knew that she needed to be at the the Wilders Resort not only to help Augusta (bride-to-be) but to help herself heal also.

She ended up giving Kendall a helping hand when the latter found herself in a tight spot. Aurora never expected her life to take such an unexpected yet pleasant turn. She got herself some new friends and a man that invaded her thoughts.

As both Aurora and Ridge decided to give the attraction between them a chance, they had to face the demons from their pasts. It wasn't easy for neither of them but with the help of their friends and family, and themselves they came out the other end stronger than ever.

The bond between the Wilder Brothers and their cousins is so strong and unbreakable. It's beautiful to see that the clan keeps growing. I loved the mentions/appearances of previous characters as well as getting to know some new ones. Looking forward to Wyatt's journey next.

MOMENTS FOR YOU is the seventh book in Carrie Ann Ryan's the  WILDER BROTHERS  series. Oh my, what an exhilarating, emotional and breathtaking ride. Carrie Ann Ryan left me wanting more. She did such an outstanding job...Bravo! 👍🏾🌟👏🏾

**Audiobook Review**

I’m always happy to be in the Wilder world and I loved Ridge and Aurora’s story. “Moments for You is an emotional, romantic and thrilling second chance at love romance for two widows who thought they weren’t going to get a second chance at happiness.

It’s been five years since Aurora tragically lost her husband and she’s been slowly moving on with her life. But when she sees a post with a frantic bride whose wedding dress was stolen, she knows she can help and offers hers to the bride. There she meets Ridge Wilder, one of the cousins and co-owners of the estate. He’s the head of security and takes his job seriously. But the moment he lays eyes on Aurora, something in him shifts. And when the resort needs a new pastry chef on the fly, Aurora offers to help since that is her career. Ridge has also lost someone tragically and has given up on finding someone again. But as the two spend time together, there is an undeniable connection. But someone from one of their past doesn’t want them to be happy and is targeting them.

I was hooked on Aurora and Ridge’s story from the start and I couldn’t stop listening. Their pasts broke my heart and I just connected with them right away. Aurora is kind, caring and such a genuine person. I love how she immediately stepped in to help the bride in distress and then help the Wilders too. Ridge was closed off in the beginning because he was still hurting and trying to forgive himself for what happened to his girlfriend. These two connected on their loss and it made them closer as time went on. Ridge and Aurora had some special and emotional moments which I loved for them. The Wilders took Aurora under their wings and made her feel a part of the family. The added mystery of who was coming after Aurora had me on the edge of my seat as they figured out who it was.

Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton were amazing as Aurora and Ridge. Both were so passionate with their narrations. The story has a lot of emotions and I loved listening to them bring this story alive.

Moments For You is the next installment in the Wilder Brothers series by the ever radiant Carrie Ann Ryan. MFY is the seventh book in the series, and as always, I recommend reading a series in order to get the most out of it, but if you so choose the book can be read as a standalone.
Oh the feels with this one!

Aurora is a widow, one stuck in a limbo of her own making. On the anniversary day of her lost husband, she is mindlessly scrolling Insta, and sees a post from a desperate bride in need of a wedding gown. Aurora takes this as her long awaited sign that it is finally time to move on with her life and start living again. So she allows the new bride to wear her dress, this singular act brings more into her life than she could ever know. It brings her Ridge Wilder.

Ridge and his brothers are cousins of the original Wilder brothers, and so they bought the land across from their retreat to start their own business. Little does the rest of the family know the heartbreaking pain that Ridge is in. -No spoilers- He thinks he hides it so well behind his gruff exterior and surly attitude, but when he meets Aurora he finds himself drawn to her by their familiar pain. Between the two Wilder businesses, most know of Aurora’s loss, and give her the space she wants, but when she donates her dress, they start to think that maybe she is ready to move past it and start living again.

Ridge and Aurora’s story was so emotionally moving. I loved how they supported each other through everything, it was so moving how they bonded over their pain, but even more so that that is how they really start to get to know one another. As the story progresses, the characters evolve more and more, but Aurora is truly my favorite. She starts living again, really living and doing things that she loves again. Overall, I am pleased with the book and can’t wait to see what the other Wilder Brother-Cousin have coming for them.

Carrie Ann Ryan's latest instalment in The Wilder Brothers series, "Moments for You," is a poignant story that will tug at your heartstrings and leave you reaching for the tissues time and time again. Known for infusing her stories with a deep sense of soul, Ms Ryan once again delivers a tale that feels alive, pulsating with emotion and authenticity.

In "Moments for You," we are introduced to Ridge and Aurora, two individuals who have each grappled with unimaginable loss. Aurora lost her husband five years ago and still finds herself entangled in the complexities of his family's blame. Ridge, on the other hand, has buried the pain of losing his girlfriend deep within, never daring to confront it, let alone share it with his family. Fate, however, has its own plans, intertwining their lives and nudging them toward love once more.

From the moment Ridge and Aurora meet, the spark of passion is undeniable. Yet, beneath the surface, both carry the weight of their past sorrows, wounds that must be healed before they can fully embrace the happiness they both deserve. Ms Ryan skillfully navigates the intricate emotions of grief and love, crafting a story that is as heart-wrenching as it is hopeful.

What sets this author's storytelling apart is her ability to imbue her characters with depth and humanity, making them feel like old friends by the end of the book. In "Moments for You," she once again leaves her mark, infusing every page with raw emotion, genuine passion and suspense elements I didn't see coming again that is the power of this author's writing.

In conclusion, "Moments for You" is a beautifully crafted tale of love, loss, and redemption that will resonate with readers long after the final page is turned. Carrie Ann Ryan has delivered yet another emotionally charged and heartfelt story, with the beating hearts of her characters still palpable between the pages.

This story is great but also hard to get through. Both Ridge and Aurora have pretty tragic pasts. We find out about Aurora’s past pretty early into the story but when Ridge shares his story, which was so sad to read. I really felt for both of these characters especially when they also have ‘baggage’ in both of their lives left over from what happened and when they each have a run in with those people, I seriously wanted Trace to banish them from the property permanently. I loved Aurora and her stepping up to the occasion with Augusta and who knew that from that small pay-it-forward moment, that her life would change in a good way, especially with her career and maybe with Ridge. I liked how Aurora and Ridge got to know each other and are possibly moving toward something more. Of course, I also loved our Wilder Retreat family and friends showing up and being there for both Aurora and Ridge. I’m very intrigued about Ridge and his other brothers and can’t wait for their stories. When Ridge had shared his story with Aurora and made a comment about someone getting away, I had a huge pit in my stomach because I was pretty sure this individual was going to show up at some point and when he did show up he not only hurt Aurora but wanted to get even with Ridge as well. Both of those scenes were so intense, I’m glad that it ended the way it did. Definitely hold your breath moment. I liked how Lauren came around in the end with Aurora and especially liked the updates we got on the family as well and how everything turned out for Aurora and Ridge. Looking forward to the next story which looks to be Wyatt’s. However, with the way the story ended and the snippet we got for his story, sounds like he may have a lot to deal with as well. Wonderful story!

Carrie Ann Rayn knows how to pull at her readers' heart strings, and this book is no different. Ridge Wilder moved and bought into the family business at Wilder Retreat. And he really retreated into himself. He was living, but not really participating in his life. Ridge, like so many Wilder men, are a little closed off, hide their hurt, and think that working hard will make things better. That is until they meet a very special lady and fall head over heels in love.
Aurora Lee lost her husband and has been working her way back to happiness. When a social media post brings her to the Wilder retreat her life would never be the same. An amazing baker and cake decorator she steps in when the WIlder’s needed her most. Aurora is the girl that you would love to be friends with. She is kind, warm, and always thinks of others…always.
I actually loved how Aurora and Ridge’s relationship developed, and how romance blossomed from a friendship. Ridge’s growly personality slowly melted away as he and Aurora spent more time together. Once these two give into their feelings and chemistry it is beautiful and perfect. Ridge has a seriously amazing dirty mouth, and the way he cares for Aurora is so sweet, and it really felt like just the way that she needed. While Aurora is strong, she also needs to be cared for tenderly, and Ridge is able to do both. And in turn Aurora gives Ridge what he needs, she understands him in a way that not everyone does, she gives him grace when he is in his feelings, and she seems to know what he is feeling almost before he does. I adored this book and getting to know the Wilder cousins, and I cannot wait for what is next in this series! I just can't seem to get enough of the Wilder crew!

Oh Lordy this one was a beautiful story from the first chapters. I was crying at the start, then laughing at the typical Wilder family antics. This book you get the full range of emotions and will love every moment of it. I love that it starts with 2 people that are in very similar situations in their lives and are trying to figure out how to live theirs after a love one has left them. Ridge Wilder has been full of mystery since we met him in the previous books and I could not wait to finally get his entire back story and dang if it doesn’t just pull at all your heart strings. But he is a Wilder through and through with a gaggle of Wilder brothers that drive him crazy along with all the Wilder cousins as well. It is so fun watching all the family interactions, it is NEVER a dull or quiet moment with the Wilders. Then his world gets rocked when a women walks in the retreat with a wedding dress….. Aurora just literally shakes his life up. Aurora is a pastry chef that has had a rough couple years, but when she gets to the Wilder Retreat something changes within her. Aurora is such a beautiful person inside and out. I love watching her blossom as the story progresses. Her relationship with Ridge is such a beautiful thing, it starts out as a friends then slowly develops into something more. They have both been hurt so watching them fall in love again was such a special thing. The way they are with each other is so great, they have a great banter and chemistry. But they have to work through some issues, once they figure it out they are stronger for it. I’m so glad they got their happily ever after. I loved this story and I can’t wait for the next Wilder story.

The Wilder Brothers latest book, is actually about a different branch of the Wilder family..the cousins of the “E” bunch!
First up, oldest brother Ridge, who’s holding on to secrets even his own brothers don’t know, now works security at the resort/winery/new brewery, et al, and is part owner of it all. He’s intrigued, against his will, with Aurora.
When she became a widow 5 years earlier, Aurora lost not only her husband, but her dreams, her job and the rest of her family. Upon answering a post to help out a bride in need of a dress, she meets the Wilder family, who help point her towards a new career, wonderful new friends…and Ridge. She, too, is intrigued. Not against her will, but she’s still gun shy.
A friendship begins, feelings are grown and these two grieving people find more in common than they expected. Without giving more away, this book hits on some hard subject matter. It produced more than a few tears, but it also, hopefully, gives hope to those who have suffered their own loss. Ridge and Aurora are characters you want to see find happiness again. They are also people I would want to be friends with myself.
Carrie Ann Ryan is always a must read author in my world. I embrace and enjoy her stories and characters and admire the skill with which to weaves them together. But having a glimpse behind the pages of this book in particular, shows me just how strong and resilient she herself is, like her characters. I think it’s the most powerful book she has written.
Oh, and to end on a more relaxed note…prepare to be hungry while reading. There’s lots of cake and other goodies in this book. I wouldn’t be opposed to a cookbook tie-in!

Raw, real emotions. Sad…yes. Relatable if you’ve lost someone close…yes. And although everyone grieves differently and on their own timeline, this is such a touching story of two people who are…surviving. The pain of the loss never end…changes, yes, but never ends.

It’s been five years and Aurora is finding a new way, incrementally. On this day, the 5th anniversary of her husband’s passing, her best friend, Joni, is hanging out with her. When they discover a bride has had her wedding dress stolen just days before her upcoming wedding at the Wilder Retreat and Winery and is searching for a replacement, Aurora knows what she needs to do to help this unknown bride whom her wedding dress will probably fit.

Such a touching gesture on Aurora’s part. With the realization the in helping another bride, making a difference for someone else…maybe her pain may ease a little. At least in the moment.

From the time she has made that decision and begins her journey over to the Wilder Retreat to deliver the dress, things start changing for Aurora. Helping out the bride is just the beginning!

Yes, this is Ridge Wilder’s story too but I especially admire Aurora. She’s been through a lot for a 31-year-old. And yet, she continues to get up each day and, as the saying goes, put one foot in front of the other.

This is a beautiful, touching story, filled with discovery, love and yes, sadness. But also healing and compassion. Once started, you will be drawn in to Aurora and Ridge’s story - definitely a read-in-one-day book!

My review is written voluntarily after listening to the audio version of this book.

This book is deeply moving an emotional rollercoaster ride from start to finish. Both the main characters had suffered the loss of their partners. Aurora's husband was killed in an automobile accident when a drunk driver crossed over into their lane, Aurora who was driving survived but lost not only her life mate but the job she loved too. Ridge lost the woman he loved and planned to spend the rest of his life with as well as their unborn child, something he has never shared with his family. He blames himself for not being able to save her and has locked away his heart.

Their story is about getting a second chance at finding love, neither ever thought they would find love again but fate had other plans for them. This is my favourite book by Carrie Ann yet, all her books are great but this one touched my soul. It was such an emotional story that so captivated me from the start Ridge and Aurora were perfect for each other, they shared such fantastic chemistry and were able to help each other overcome their past grief so that they could then get a future together

The narration by Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton is superb they worked perfectly together and made me feel every emotion felt by Aurora and Ridge as well as the rest of the characters. I loved how they brought these characters alive.

Still grieving from the loss of her husband in a car accident caused by a drunk driver, Aurora decides to to help a bride in need by donating her's when she learns the bride's family wedding dress has been stolen. Ridge and his brothers have become partners with their cousins in the Wilder Resort. Ridge works security with Trace. Ridge has been keeping a major secret from his family. He carries great guilt for not protecting his pregnant girlfriend from being killed in a mass shooting. The attraction and chemistry between Aurora and Ridge is off the charts from the moment they set eyes on each other. Will a new job with the Wilders help Aurora get back to her love of baking? Can two people who have suffered great loss help each other to heal? Can Aurora help Ridge come clean to his brothers about the tragedy that happened to him that had him moving away and coming to the Wilder Resort? Can Ridge save Aurora from someone dangerous from his past? Will past fears have Ridge pushing Aurora away? Will Ridge and Aurora give love a shot? I loved Moments For You by Carrie Ann Ryan! Moments For You is an emotional roller coaster ride. Aurora and Ridge are a great couple that have suffered unimaginable loss and find love and healing in each other's arms. I would highly recommend getting Moments For You and the other books in The Wilder Brothers series by Carrie Ann Ryan. I received an ARC copy of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.

Moments for You by Carrie Ann Ryan was an emotional and touching story about second chances. Part of the Wilder Brothers series, this can be read as a standalone, however, I highly recommend every book in the series as I have been enjoying this series so much. I have to say, Ridge and Aurora just stole my heart. Ridge is a Wilder cousin who found what he needed when joining his cousins at the Wilder Resort. He has been keeping secrets and suffering in silence, though he knows his family would be there for him. Aurora is trying to form her new normal after losing not only her husband, but so much more.

No matter what life has thrown Aurora, she is selfless and caring. While she is still working through her grief, she decides to help a woman in need of a wedding dress when the unthinkable happens. Now she may have been given the fresh start she needed, in more ways than one. I loved how caring and protective Ridge was. Suffering from his own grief, Aurora was unexpected light in his life. Their journey was heartbreaking at times and yet so heartwarming in others. These two truly stole my heart as I waited to see if they could let the other in and accept love again. The chemistry and connection they shared was undeniable, but both had so much to work through individually and together. I loved their story so much and highly recommend it.

Happy reading!

I truly love the Wilder series from Carrie Ann and I’m delighted she’s continuing it with the inclusion of the brothers’ cousins!!!

Ridge & Aurora’s story was a little bittersweet to start with but the gods, this pair were meant for each other.

Two lost and lonely souls. One not quite sure what direction to take next, being blamed for still being here, the other wanting nothing to do with relationships or love ever again who blames themselves for still being here!

My heart hurt so badly for Aurora. Between the things she’d dealt with and the pain she was still trying to deal with I wouldn’t have blamed her if she had given up and moved away. Seeing her realization that she still had a life to live and how she embraced each step was heartwarming.

Ridge never wanted to feel again. He was keeping secrets that were just hurting him more as time went on so the unexpected arrival of and connection with Aurora were things he was not expecting and had trouble dealing with.

I liked that this pair communicated. It wasn’t always easy and they both had so many second thoughts which, given their pasts were understandable, but they both worked to emerge from their sadness and grow together and I loved watching them flourish.

There was a bit of suspense, a lot passion and a whole heap of heat which all added to a great story. We caught up with the Wilder family en masse and I’m looking forward to meeting the rest of the cousins as the series continues!

I’m excited for Naomi & Amos’s story which is up next.

4*

4.5 out of 5 stars!

Listening to this book made an exceptionally long bus ride go by quicker. And rightly so because I'm so enchanted with the Wilders and the family they've built with their business. When Aurora Lee heard that a bride needed a wedding dress, she offered hers up. While she had mixed feelings about it, she had no use for a wedding dress as a widow. What she didn't expect was to find a job and a cast of characters to welcome her into their fold. She certainly didn't expect the feelings Ridge Wilder elicited when she was around him. Added to that was the fact that the Wilders didn't know a stranger and were welcoming to Aurora at the time she most needed a friend or ten. Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton voiced these characters so wonderfully. They captured the characters' emotions and feelings, the personalities and individual quirks.

No matter the subject, the trope, the storyline, the author knows the right hooks to grab the reader into the world she has created. I felt right at home getting to know Ridge and Aurora and catching up with the characters in the first six books.

I received an advance copy of the audiobook at my request and voluntarily left this review.

Moments For You ( The Wilder Brothers Book 7 ) Grab the tissues settle in and prepare yourself for all the feels because Moments For You is one of the most beautifully written and emotionally charged loved stories I’ve read in a very long time . But then again this entire series really is fantastic- this is not your typical fall in love and live happily ever after love story . It’s a journey about two people who have lost their first loves , who have endured so much heartache and pain yet somehow came out even stronger . It’s about healing and second chances and learning to trust and open your heart again . Oh how I adored both Aurora and Ridge , I can’t really put into words what it was but I just felt such a strong pull to both and well I was a goner . Moments for You is like being on the wildest ride at the amusement park , it’s a emotional rollercoaster that’s guaranteed to make you feel everything from being speechless, to yelling in frustration, to smiling and laughing one minute then sobbing and rooting so freaking hard the next . Man did I lose so much sleep because yes I made the stupid mistake of starting late in the evening and once I did well it was almost impossible to fall asleep. So worth it though 💜💜💜

Tropes:

Alpha
Military romance
Small-town
Emotional connection

Moments for You is book 7th in the Wilder Brother series by Carrie Ann Ryan and this is the first book I have read in this series and by this author but I fell in love with not just Ridge but the whole clan (so I have just added so many more books to my TBR).

An ad for a lost wedding dress gives Aurora just the push she needs to help her move on after her husband died 5 years ago. Deciding to donate her dress, she reaches out to the Wilder Retreat letting them know that she has one. Her generosity put her on the path to meet Ridge not realizing just how alike they are.
Ridge hasn’t been back home too long but when he came, he left his past in just that, the past. He didn’t talk about the life he left when he came home and when he does he just doesn’t realize how hurt his family really was.

Both Ridge and Aurora have lost a spouse in the past and they are struggling moving forward and finding peace and comfort in doing so but they have such a connection with one another because of the lost love that they find comfort in each other.

This is an emotional read from start to finish…
Ridge and Aurora two individuals whom have faced life’s tragedy in the most horrific circumstances!
They are brought together by fate and a lost wedding dress.
Ridge a man whom is so closed off that his brothers don’t even know what he had to endure.
Aurora a beautiful woman who has lost so much due to tragedy and betrayal and is trying to find her feet and move forward!
This is a story of finding your second chance, a chance of another great love… its navigating these new emotions and finding its ok to move on.
Ridge is loyal, brave but vulnerable and it’s Aurora who becomes his strongest support and allows him to find his way.
Being introduced to a new set of Wilde’s is the best and we see each of them open up just a little to see they are just a little broken, but they are fierce, protective and so honourable. Looking forward from more of them! There are new friendships formed, and new stories and relationships you see building.
Of course there is suspense, angst and a little drama which allows you to just see what family do for each other..
A brilliant start to a new chapter of family!
