I couldn't imagine when I picked up this book that there would be dragons and time travel, but here we are. The pacing for Where Dragons Rule is like a sports car's gas pedal; starting slow but quickly building to a race. The battles are fast and interesting, the characters unique and defined - I've noticed that my favourite characters (Toothpick in Where Dragons Lie and now Chey in Where Dragons Rule) are often deemed side characters, but something about both of them makes me really enjoy following along with them.

If I had to nit pick with this book, it'd actually be the ending. Honestly, too fast for all the build up. The last 60-ish pages felt like 10.

Quite the few fun reveals in this book that I won't spoil. As well as a good set up for the third and final book. You could read this one on its own and get the gist, but I personally wouldn't recommend that.

This is the sequel to Where Dragons Lie, which to me was a better book.
