'He thinks it's about therapy, but it's really about murder' The book centres around its main character Toby Reynolds, a psychotherapist who feels himself strangely drawn to one of his clients. His peaceful existence is disrupted as he tries desperately to break the hold Olivia Stanton has over him. As he begins to question his own choices, he finds himself in a desperate situation which will change his life forever. Losing control, Toby begins to doubt the decisions he has made and worries his career and marriage may not survive the fallout. As Olivia's hold over him tightens, the severity of the situation begins to unfold. When they are both arrested for attempted murder, Toby comes to realise Olivia isn't the person he thought she was, but is it too late for him, and have his good intentions now made him a target?
I really enjoyed this book. The first half focuses around the relationship build up between the lead character Toby, a therapist and his client, Olivia which I found really intriguing and the second half is like a fast paced thriller that I couldn’t put down ! I’m already looking forward to the sequel. Highly recommended
