An interesting book that could have been a bit longer. However, it does an adequate job outlining what modernity and modernization is, how it was originally conceived and how it "evolved" (no pun intended). I wish the book took a bit more time outlining the different modernization perspectives, but, for a brief introduction on the debate, it isn't completely unworthy.
