A haunting novel based on the kidnapping of Charles Lindbergh's baby speculates on what would have happened if that the child had grown up in the family of his kidnappers, never knowing who he was until he was about to run for governor. 35,000 first printing.
Interesting concept and a good book. The premise is that the Lindbergh baby is stolen to replace the baby another couple loses. The boy grows up as David and never knows about his true heritage until his father confesses his crime on his death bed. In between is a good story about love, relationships, expectations and disappointments.
