A Real One Turned Me Out
Canary finds herself heartbroken when Keylon, her boyfriend of four years, decides to abruptly call it quits. Broken, hurt, and homeless, her best friend, Kenji, comes to her rescue. Not willing to sit back and watch her friend hurt, Kenji offers to take her on a vacation to Cancun for Spring Break. A vacation could be just the thing she needs to get her head back in the game. Or, it could be the worst mistake she ever made.

I hope whoever Answered Ali’s Phone is the girl that he is with. Kiyah is wrong for how she did both Kenji and Canary.
I don’t know who I like more for Kenji: Houston or Silk. Silk gon kill Houston though.
And canary better not go back to Key

Great Read
This book was so good and I couldn’t put it down. Really enjoyed the storyline and these characters. So liked Laxton and Canary together and can’t wait to see the direction of their relationship. Keylon, is getting exactly what he deserves and I hope it’s more to come. Next, I can’t wait for karma to take care of Makiyah. After that ending I can’t wait to see what happens next, Job well done Shameka Jones.

I really enjoyed this book... Some of these characters had me just shaking my head... Makiyah was going all out her way to do everyone dirty for a man that flipped the script on her... Just like she was out here using people... She got played... I was glad to see that because the way she went after Canary had me mad at her... But like they say what goes around comes back around... Karma is a beast... All thet lying and Scheming that Makiyah was doing is finally catching up with her and when it is all said and done she is going to be left out in the cold with nothing... And I can't wait to see that...
Keylon was so wrong with how he did Canary... I was like man you were in a relationship with Canary for 4 years and she is the best woman you will ever be with and instead of making it know that you were not happy... You step out on her with someone close to her then break up with her... Then have the nerve to ask her for some money to help you out of the trouble you caught yourself in... Boy bye... You need to ask the person that you were stepping out on Canary with... See how that works out for you... Oh that's right you did... I guess they are not as into you as you thought...
I loved that Canary had her best friend Kenji... These girls had eachothers back and really tried to help eachother... If it had not been for Kenji... Canary would not have met the best man ever... Who would have thought that a moment of Kenji trying to help her friend get over her breakup by taking a much needed vacation to Cancun would end up like this...
This trip really brought a lot out... Secrets were put out there, true colors were being revealed money was being made, friendships were destroyed and so much more...
As for Kenji... I really like Silk for her... They have been seeing eachother for a year... But can you really call this a relationship... Either way I still like him for her... Yes it took her pulling back and another man showing interest for Silk to finally realize that he needs to step it up... But is this a little to late... Will The fact that Kenji was with Houston in Cancun come out and be a problem... I mean technically... Kenji was single and he did not make things really clear... So he can't really be mad... Can he...
Now what is going to happen with Keylon... How will he recover from this... Will he find out who is behind it all... How will things play put for Canary and Laxton... Will Kenji and Silk find that forever together or will the obstacles place in fron of them be to much... What will happen with Makiyah... She did all that she did and now look what has happened... Man now to wait for part 2...

Friends that have your back in times of trouble are true friends. Kenji & Canary are best friends & have an associate by the name of Kiyah. She is not a real good friend at all especially when she sees someone is not interested in her. She still goes after them for herself. Canary deserves to be happy after Keys plays her. He could have really explained or be a little more open with Canary about his feelings. It's ok cause she has moved on & I'd loving it. Laxton is the new man. Will he be all she needs him to be & more. So Kenji loves Silk & he decides he wanna make things right with her before she leave him alone permanently. He tells her the truth so will their relationship survive all that comes with his job. There are plenty of questions left to be answered & decisions to be made. One thing is will Kiyah finally get what's coming to her by Ali? Did he just play her like a sucker? With all she did to people & the lies she told if he has karma is coming back at her. So ready for part to for the answers.

Yo Ali straight played Makiyah's hoe ass and karma came back at her big time. Keylon proved he was the typical dude. Had a good girl only to turn his back because he felt his life was missing something. And it's crazy he hasn't realized who may have caused the first incident. I loved Canary and Kenji's friendship and how they had each others back. Houston came through for them but lawd Makiyah was beyond thirsty. I hope Laxton and Canary are able to build without Kalena and Keylon causing too much damage that will make them give up. Silk was crazy and I see why Kenji was hesitant when it came to doing certain things. I can't wait to see what more is to come with the couples and how Makiyah will handle the obvious.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved the storyline and its was really interesting and engaging. As usual, you know there are the characters that you love and those you hate. Makayia and Key get on my damn nerves. Makayia is just a hoe...a big one too..and Key is just a wanna be. That’s why his a** got robbed twice 😂😂😂. I felt kinda sorry for Houston but oh well. I love me some Silk....he’s slick as hell. I really loved the relationship between Canary and Laxton. I was a bit disappointed of how it ended...thought it would have been with a little more bang. Very good read regardless.

Omg this series is gonna be lit. Kiyah was doing way too much and she thought Ree was going to let her get away for sleeping with her ex man for over a year she deserved that nice ass whooping lmao. I’m glad Ken is giving silk a try with their relationship and it took for him almost loosing her for him to man up, but I understand that he didn’t want what happened in the past to happen to her. Laxton ain’t taken no for an answer he wants who he wants but Ree don’t need to be listening to his ex. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read

Ready for the next
Mannnnnnn I hope Makiyah get what's coming to her. I have a feeling that Ali is really with another female once he stole that product. Canary and Laxton seems like they would make it but with his ex and Keylon lurking I don't know . Breaking up is the best thing to happen to Canary. She sees how trifling and low down Key is. It also opens the door for the kind of love she deserves. Being Mrs. Burke gives her new energy with plenty of orgasms too. Kenji loves a man who is secretive for a reason. His pop ups are really real. Silk tries to stay away from her, but he can't. He loves her too, but his profession causes him to pause. Losing Kenji is not an option though. Key and Kiyah are so doggish and trifling that they deserves everything coming their way. Good start
Book 1 is definitely a off to a good start to a great series. I love Laxton and Canary’s budding relationship. She deserves a real one after dealing with Key. Her friendship with Kenji is dope. Houston seems like a cool guy too but Silk seems good for Kenji as well. Makiyah is a trip. She’s a true hater. Karma is going to get her eventually! Can’t wait to see what’s next!

Mannnnn I can't wait for part two... I really can't stand Mikiyah hoe ass and i can't wait to see how karma is served to her. Key is a fuck boy and I'm ready for someone to kill his ass. I really hope Canary and Laxton get a HEA because i love them together, ik Kalena is gonna be an issue but i hope they stay strong. I am team Kenji & Silk so far and im hoping Houston doesn't become a problem. I am soooo impatiently waiting for part 2 and i hope its the finale.

Laxton!!!!!!! This was so good and it wasn't about a bunch of drama. The storyline was on point and it was so good. The characters were well developed and you either loved them or hated them. Awesome read!
I get so into books by this author and realize there is probably going to be cliffhanger. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. Key and Makiyah are both so trifling. I want Canary and Laxton to have their happily ever after. I don't know who I want Kenji to have it's just so much. Great writing.

Great Read enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Glad Canary found someone that love her and hoping she really give Laxton the opportunity to prove it to her. This was pretty good. Canary was cool but would pop off if pushed. I think Keylon did her so wrong. But Makiyah nasty tail is his karma. Kenji was a good friend i could understand she was tired of Silk and his foolishness but when he broke it down for her it put things in perspective.

First time reading this author. I enjoyed it. The story line wasn't necessarily original but it strong and the pace was good. Makiyah is the weirdo friend who is going to be a problem. Kenji is the loyal friend. I hope things work out for Laxton and Canary. For Silk and Kenji too.

It was missing something. Paxton I like him for Canary. Please don't make her become closed off and indecisive. Silk so mysterious but I like him for Kenji. It was kind of slow hopefully part 2 has more action.
