Tony Harrington #6

Three Weeks in Winter

Rate this book
Winter is frigid, but fear is just as numbing, and death is the coldest of all... A rural deputy sheriff’s suspicious death in Chicago draws small-town reporter Tony Harrington to the Windy City to investigate. Within days he discovers facts the police either missed or chose to ignore – facts that lead him to a white supremacist militia that calls itself The Patriots of Victory One. In a dangerous and foolhardy late-night incursion into the POVO camp, Tony finds evidence of an impending attack of incomprehensible scale and cruelty. To make matters worse, POVO and its plans may be funded by one of America’s greatest enemies. Tony and his girlfriend, actress Darcy Gillson, face multiple threats in their efforts to expose and stop the POVO plot. What they learn grips their hearts in a fear as dark and as cold as a winter night in the Midwest. Though the FBI, the CIA, and the military mobilize to respond, the safety of thousands may rely on the courage and determination of a handful of civilians. The countdown has started as they race to prevent the deadly strike that could be fatal to everything we hold dear.

As the author of "Three Weeks in Winter," I am writing simply to thank everyone for reading books and for supporting authors and bookstores. Your time, efforts, and investments are appreciated beyond words.

I'm happy and honored to report that this book is getting outstanding early reviews, including endorsements from two of the biggest names in mystery/thriller fiction: #1 NYT bestselling author James Rollins, creator of the Sigma Force series and many other books, and bestselling author Max Allan Collins, who wrote "Road to Perdition," the Quarry Series, the Nate Heller series, and at least 100 other great books.

I hope you'll give my work a try, but whether you do or don't, please accept my sincere thanks and best wishes.

"Three Weeks in Winter" written by the author Joseph LeValley is an interesting read. It is a chilling mystery thriller that would send chills down your spine. Deputy Sheriff Tim Jebron was in Chicago when he died. On Tony Harrington's birthday, Sheriff George Mackey from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation visited him to tell him that his deputy sheriff Tim Jebron had died. George asked Tony to keep this investigation request as a secret. He wanted Tony to go to Chicago and find out what exactly happened to Tim.

According to George, Tim was afraid of heights. He wouldn't climb the top of a twelve-story building to do suicide. Chicago PD was going to release that Tim committed suicide but George knew that it was not in Tim's to take his own life. Soon, Tony started the investigation and he started by asking Tim's wife Melissa about what happened on Saturday evening. Before Tim died, he had an argument with his wife Melissa and he sent a suicide text to her. Melissa is sure that the text wasn't written by Tim. Soon, Tony went to Windy City to continue his investigation along with Darcy. Tony and Darcy know that Chicago PD has been ignoring evidence. They didn't even interview the bartender. Through the investigation, they soon found out about ‘Patriots of Victory One'.

This is a gripping story full of suspense. With every turning page, I was curious to know what happened to Tim. The writing style of the author is nice. The backdrop setting is impressive. The characters are written well by the author. The cover photo of the book is nice. This book is full of suspense. Go for it without any second thoughts.

The sixth installment in the Tony Harrington series is, in my opinion, the best yet. It always amazes me how a reporter for a small town paper can get into so much trouble, but Tony is good at it! Thank you, Joe, for another fine tale!
